IN THIS VIDEO I FINISH UP THE WIRING AND AN AFTERMARKET FUSE BOX. IT TAKES A LOT LESS WIRES THAN ONE MAY THINK!

Looks complicated but with an experienced LS guru as a guide it all makes it less complicated . So many wires and useless components being eliminated really cleans up the harnesses and engine bay . Very , very good video J.C. . Thank you sir .

Great job J.C. the attention to details is amazing to follow along. The best part was that I understood everything you did and why you did it.

If the owner saw what you had to do to start and run his truck before you were finished. He would freak out at the wiring mess. You are a true a true mechanic from the old school. If you have a problem you fix it right and NO shortcuts.

WOW Unreal video manoeuvres Mrs JC. Right spot every time. You need to teach the other half how to handle it ! Onya JC.

First things first JC, I really like your setup and think you went the extra mile in doing all the t's crossed and the I's dotted. I am getting old and have a hunch short on birthdays. Something I have to quit chickening out on and see a doctor as its real bad and I ain't in a hurry for my cremation. I believe you mentioned Dan from DD speed shop.... I like that kid an he's coming along. I also like Brent over at halfass kustoms. If you haven't seen his work then your really going to dig his wiring tutorials as well as he has done the LS swap in every imaginal swap that comes around. Dan works on dan stuff an Brent works on customer an his own stuff. I probably am boring you because you most likely know about him. I just wanted to make sure about it. I think that doing one of these since I never did, come dang close but that only counted in Nam. Once a person has one behind him, Its back to figuring out motor mounts or cross members. Its really nice if you get whole rigs, the donor and the receiver so parts picking isn't at buy and cry or need another part a hole. They charge prices as they are increasingly changing day by day and its fair for them to stay in business but from business to business, there could be larger breaks. I so miss the days of wet clothes and burns from the welder, hands that looked like they belonged on someone else. Sure I have a thousand dollars saved up but it took around eight or more months to do it. When working I just timed money with jobs and willing to get dirty. Best to both of you

Simply awesome explanation of the wiring process of the build. I especially like the part of taking out what you don’t need.

Dear J.C. SMITH Projects family. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW! A lot of colorful Spaghetti is sorted out, others are sorted in. I guess that this would drive me nuts. Congrats for having all the knowledge, discipline and patience. And, last but definitely not least: Congrats for having a great camerawoman/wife to show all this noodling so well. ;-) As always: Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all of you.

That homemade fuse box was pretty creative J.C. I like how you put in those support gussets on the corners for support. Really neat to hear it run for a second. Can’t wait to see how fast it’ll go from 0-60 when it’s all done👍

If you ever want to bend thin plate take your grinder and cut a grove roughly half way through or more it should be thin enough then to bend by hand or in a vise. If you want a specific angle just stop and check til you achieve the angle. The look will be ad if you bent in a brake. This works well up to a 1/4” thick.

Where did you get the fuse box from? Looks like it was a great fit! I need one for my LS swap. Would you mind sharing where you sourced it from or a part number?

@LSandL312 жыл бұрын
Kinda what they said. Instead of cutting the whole thing, do a couple long cuts with three points left attached, then put it in the vise and bend it. Then easy welding and no holding.
