I would like to note that there is a little plastic cap on the tentioner and there is a hex bolt in it and that’s how you are supposed to lower it I will email a picture in a couple days when I go to work on my cobalt

Another way to loosen that belt tensioner. I over tightened the tensioner pulley bolt a bit. And I used a 15mm wrench In combination with a t47 and ratchet and push.

Can you guys do a video talking about the interchiller? It's a really cool idea on paper, but I'm not sure how effective it'd be on an lsj.

I'm curious if it's possible to use the option b reservoir tank to replace the stock engine side coolant tank??? These old stock ones are always burnt out and gm no longer offers new... Any suggestions on this topic?

Totally unrelated but just got me an Lsj and I'm trying to figure out the clutch; is it common to shift out of first at 10-15mph? It bucks at 2800-3000rpm in first and I'm like alrighty then, shift? Im curious if somethings off or that's common. Who knows if plugs, wires or oil change has been done.... Also I'm getting a P1108 air intake at supercharger but it's not aftermarket? Please help I wanna take care of this savage machine 🤟😎

The bucking could be from a leaking/bad boost solenoid on the driver side of the block. You can unhook the line going from the solenoid to the bypass valve on the supercharger and plug it with a bolt (on the end you take off the blower), see if that makes the bucking better. P1108 isn't a code in the LSJ PCM, shoot me an email at Tyler.V@zzperformance.com and I can help with some diagnostics if needed!

Hey, question: I have the opportunity to go grab an lnf cobalt out of the yard. How much interchange is there between those cars and an LAP auto cobalt

All of the suspension and body parts (assuming they're both coupes) will swap over without issue. In theory you could swap over the drivetrain but it would be quite the undertaking, you'd have to swap the wiring harness, drivertrain, body and engine harness', and PCM/BCM among a few other things.

@Tyler Vogt hard work don't bother me much. Make a living as an industrial mechanic. Would not have issues getting the car up in the air, or underneath of it. Also have a shop to work in. Both cars are coupes and can't fix the turbo cobat as the Vin is flagged as parts only., my plan was to drop the sup frames, get the shells out the way and swap them, was more or less wondering about the electrical side of things, like what kind of programming would need to be done, do I need to swap dashes. Can I get by with a laptop and hptuners type deal or does it have to go to the dealership and do an as built.

@@dtoshredneck Like mentioned you'll need the entire body and engine wiring harness from the LNF car, as well as the body control module and engine control module. You'll want to swap the gauge cluster to the LNF one, but the dash should be able to remain the same. There may be some small things that you find out you'll have to swap over. You'll need the firewall plate from the manual car to convert to manual because the auto does not have provisions for the clutch master or pedal. You'll also likely need to swap over the LNF pedal. If you swap EVERYTHING over related to wiring, sensors, etc you should not need any dealer reprogramming.

Just started hearing it the other day n can't figure it out and wen I wiggle the bracket it's kinda looose

Yes, exactly. With the engine running you could hear it rattle like a bolt was loose on the bracket. If the bracket is loose it's either the pulley wearing out or the tensioner damper is going out.
