I've notice not a single lube station seems to have the ability to hold box style stems (outemu, gateron, etc). Box style meaning it has the dust cover that also is supposed to help stabilize key wobble better. They just have the cross MX stem opening. The only one I've seen that actually can is an aluminum CNC model. The design to allow both is extremely simply so I'm really shocked they haven't adopted it in these cheaper models after YEARS.

The kbd fans station actually works better if you turn your keys. it will require pressure similar to pressing a switch into a plate. I was able to hold it upside down no issue. Other than that great video.

You're not really explaining why/how it's so useful. I understand it helps chain-lube the bottom housings, sometimes the stems, and rarely the springs. So if with the lower featured stations you have to handle those stems 1 by 1, having 1 lubed bottom housing waiting on your desk doesn't really hurt the productivity. I'm not planning to play the yukulele with my other hand but rather hold and orient the switch to aid my precise lube application with a brush in my other hand so I'd say precision might be better without a lube station? Am I wrong in thinking these may actually be pretty useless and maybe even counter productive if you don't do a keyboard every day/week ?

I think for me it allows me to keep everything neat and in order. And I can definitely cut my time in half when using a station. I will have round two comparisons coming up in the next few weeks if you would like to see more options. I’m always looking for the perfect tool.

@@StupidBulletsTech Thanks for your quick response. I imagine having all your switches layed out in front of you might help with the consistency of the application too. I'll keep an eye out for round 2, but I think for my 1st custom keyb I'll skip the station and just take my sweet time.
