This is so heartwarming. Lucas was such a big part of the show. He was the series star for 6 years. And to see him in Tree Hill again. If it doesn't make you smile you're not a real One Tree Hill fan.

Too bad Peyton never came back. Especially when Haley's mom died, I think Peyton would've been the best person able to help her get through this... anyway, I was so glad to see Lucas - despite the hair which made him barely recognizable hahaa

I never realized how much i missed Lucas cuz Naley and brooke were still there, but then i saw this moment and my heart broke.

They really disrespected the fans by not bringing both lucas and peyton back for the finale. These two were what made tree hill so special. Its always heartbreaking to see the original characters not given enough recognition at the end of a show.

I love Joy and Chad's hug. It's so genuine and the way he cradles her head and places his on top of hers is beautiful!

I loved the fact that he came back to show how much he actually meant to Haley and Jamie. I just don't understand that he didn't have a scene with Brooke, I mean Brooke was a huge part of his life as well, and Luke was definitely a huge part of Brooke's life.

And Haley's face when she sees Lucas too, the way her nose crunches up as she tries to stop herself from crying is so emotional, it gets me every time!!

"There's a good chance that he's not coming back." I tear up so bad when she says that. So heartbreaking!

This scene makes me cry... Such a beautiful entrance of Lucas, amazing, acting of Chad MIchael Murray, all those emotions on this face of returning to Tree Hill. Best moment of season9.

The more you watch the later seasons you realize how important Lucas and Peyton were to this show. They just gave the show something that couldnt be replaced no matter who came later and what storylines were introduced. I just couldnt move on and thats just how it was with me -not saying its everyones experience. I just go back to the pilot episode and think this show really was their story and i loved they got a happy ending but man it was like two different shows after season 6. They were like the bedrock that all else was built on and in the later episodes much of the lines and relationships seemed to be just a pale imitation of their unique and constant love for each other.

oh my goodness that moment where Lucas turns and sees Lydia and there eyes meet and she shys away is the most beautiful precious thing i've ever seen. The look on his face a when he looks at her and her adorable reaction made my heart melt.

Cool cameo but it just feels odd ya know? Not only because Peyton wasn't with him but for things like making his appearance basically contribute nothing to the story line. Especially since he was THE MAIN CHARACTER. It would have been AMAZING to see him and Dan go to save Nathan together seeing as Lucas did so much heroic acts saving peyton so why not for his own brother?? In a way it felt out of character for Lucas. If it was Peyton who had gotten allegedly kidnapped, he would have STOPPED AT NOTHING to find her. :/ Don't even get me started on the finale... like how are you gonna have all those flashback scenes and nostalgia moments without Peyton and Luke? How are you gonna sing the main theme song without them? Oh well, the finale was good, it just felt like a big piece was missing.

Even though i loved the Seasons 7-9...I always thought they ruined peyton's and Lucas character with those seasons... they would have never missed Brooke's wedding, all the kids...they could at least have written it in that they were in contact or visited without the audience seeing it. It would have made more sense...

The deleted scene of Hayley's flashback where Lucas talks about how he misses how they used to hang out in the cafe and would do anything to have that back proves there WAS a possibility of Peyton/Hilarie and Lucas/Chad coming back. I guess as time went on Mark Schwan realised their schedules (Hilarie had just had her baby and Chad was shooting for the haunted house in connecticut 2) collided, therefore had to unfortunately come to a conclusion that they were in fact not going to be able to come back. If he had put that scene in, it would've gave hope to fans, that there was hope for Leyton to return - I guess he didn't want to be the one to crush that 'hope' fans would've held on to. I still wish til this day, that Peyton, Lucas and Sawyer could've come back. Maybe just for the finale even? I guess it's time I accept it and move on, and actually be happy that even though it isn't in Tree Hill, my OTP did in fact get their happy ending. 😔

This scene makes me think of the many people out there who go missing, and my heart breaks. My heart goes out to all of the families of missing people. I can’t imagine. Keep their names and faces out there and share their stories!

Man i like the music, when we first see Lucas, this is were OTH really shine they always know the right type of music to put on scenes.

When Haley says that Nathan might not come back, Lucas firmly says that he will because he can't face the fact that his little brother might be dead. It really breaks my heart because it is obvious that he's worried as hell and needs to believe that his brother will be ok 💔

When Lucas and Peyton left, OTH should have stopped.

I hate how Lucas returned he spent all his time in one place not visiting anyone else I would have saved him for the series finally.

He's tall w/short black hair tho w/GI Buzz it's hard to tell.He says it's cooler when short. Both were extras in this epi but they got her from behind. I'm so proud of him - both of them! They pick up work as extras for a couple series filmed near them. This was 1 of the 1st clear shots that made it past editing cuts. Happy 4 them!

Season 9 despite being a good season had a few missed opportunities particularly how the Chelsea storyline could have been Rachel which would have allowed proper closure between her and broke compared to the shitty ending those two had and Lucas rescuing his brother.

Even though I really care for his hair in this scene, but when I saw Lucas I almost had a heart attack for screaming so loud. I really wish him and Hilarie Burton would have cam back for the last season.

lucas what happened 2 his hair,,lol and i 'm glad lucas came back, but i think, he shouldv'e been w/ haley when her mom died 2, because he's her best friend and him and haley were friends every since they were little, and i wish they wouldv'e had him stay longer 2 make admends w/ dan ....i think it wouldv'e wrapped up the storyline better.:)

Such a refreshing woosh of familiarity washed over me, when Lucas came through those doors. It's almost like he never went away and almost like season 1 all over again. I wish he still had that hair too. Brunette does not look good, even if he does look tanned.

I would have liked see Peyton and Lucas at Brooke’s wedding and when Brooke’s kids were born.. without them was different. Not the same....

So great to see Lucas (I miss him and Peyton T^T), I love his friendship with Haley, it's just amazing. In her darkest hours he cames back to help her, i want a friend (or a husband :P) like this. I'm actually ok with his hair, though it kinda shocked me at first.

I didn't even watch the series past season 6 because they were gone. Part of the entire pull of the show was the dynamic between Lucas, Dan and Nathan as well as all the other people they knew. Without Peyton/Lucas all the dynamics changed. Brooke, Dan, Nathan, Haley watching all these characters just wasn't the same.

I think its funny a lot of people say is a One Tree Hill fan and keep saying should have ending in season 6, because after that Chad and Hilarie left. But just a few people appreciate what James, Joy and Sophia did. If Chad and Hilarie left because of money, do you really think the others got a high salary? This fans should be more grateful, I've never been a leyton fan, so for me a great thing they gone, but hey we should be more grateful for the ones who stayed and keep believing in OTH

This was literally my favourite episode all of the 7 mins he was on here for was so worth waiting for just wish they bought him and peyton and sawyer on for a whole episode or even at the end of the season, cause to start with them and end without them was just unsatisfying...

Hola. Creo que deberían haber vuelto los dos juntos, pero me alegro mucho por la vuelta de Lucas. Desde que termino la sexta temporada no había vuelto haber la serie, no podía sin sus dos protagonistas, deberían hacer una pelicula juntos, son la mejor pareja de la televisión.
