When they went from pony to pony at the round table, it reminded me of That's 70's Show when the gang would chat around the table in the basement XD

You know I don't understand why everyone is keeping Pinkie Pie under a radar just because of her characterization in S4. I can't be the only one who thinks her characterization was fine in that season. She has acted a bit more energetic and random than usual, I'll admit, but she still had her moments were she was more calm and collected, but still displayed it through her energetic personality which is a part of her. If anything, S4 explored the weaknesses and flaws of her character rather than just over-exaggerate them. Overall, I think Pinkie Pie's personality has been pretty consistent in terms of character and while we see some parts of her character being fleshed out a bit more than usual (i.e. her energetic behavior) that doesn't mean she is not within character. What it really means is as was stated: a part of her character is just being more fleshed out and nothing more. Sorry I had to get on my soapbox there, but I cannot understand for the life of me why some people spouted doom and gloom over Pinkie Pie in S4 when we can clearly see as evidence that she's not always just a spas.

They get insanely angry and destroy things when things aren't 100% perfect? Anyone else thing the Yaks might be a little dig at bronies from the cas and crew?

Ah...more of the pink pony. This episode was just plain enjoyable, even though it kept going away from the action to see what the Mane 6 are up to.

The lesson was good. I hate when you go someplace and they try too hard go make it seem like it's from your culture but get all the stuff wrong.

I always pictured the conflict with the changelings (in particular the epic battle scene) as being similar to what a war in equestrian would be like if they ever end up doing one. Pinkie Pie is my fav, so naturally I enjoyed this episode as well! But I'd really love to see if the writers can surprise me with changes in pinkie's character or new sides to her similar to how fluttershy has impressed me this season.

From we've seen so far, the "Princess of Friendship" is essentially a more kid-friendly way of saying, "Secretary of State".

War has been mentioned in season 2, actually. In It's About Time when Twilight asked her future self if there was some sort of epic pony war.

This season is playing out a lot like Mass Effect. Finding different allies with unique traits to perhaps fight alongside in the final battle? They did say that these Yaks were noble warriors, and judging how most of the other episodes were about finding allies with other unique abilities, I think things are getting tense at Equestria's borders.

What i do before each reaction is i turn my air conditioner full blast until its nearly freezing in my room. So for at least 20 mins its mildly tolerable. Anyways, i loved this episode probably due to the fact that War were (almost) declared! The animators must be having a blast with all the crazy faces this season.

I wonder how effective pies would be against Yaks.

Hehe I love your reaction Luffy!! This was a great episode. I like the Pinkie we saw in this episode. The Pinkie that goes to the end of Equestria just to help her friends. A really great job they are doing with the mane 6 in this season. I hope to see more character development like they are doing so far.

EP 11 I like this episode. I love that Twilight Sparkle gets so nervous she makes a really crazy face that is from the episode Lesson Zero. I am glad to see Twilight Sparkle doing more things as a princess. I think the Yaks are assholes because you do not disrespect a host as hospitable as Twilight Sparkle by wreaking their house. I love how Pinkie Pie is the only one besides Twilight Sparkle to read about the Yaks. I disliked the Yaks more and more as they destroyed Applejack’s barn, Rarity’s boutique and almost destroyed a bunch of animals. Also do all animals in Yakyakistan have horns. Twilight Sparkle really put a lot of pressure on Pinkie Pie considering the Yaks are unreasonable dicks in my opinion. I love that Pinkie Pie is so nervous her facial expressions almost reach SMILE HD levels of creepy. I like Pinkie Pie’s interaction with Gummy and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a psychic connection and he answers Pinkie Pie’s questions. I love that we now have Gummy mail. I don't know how the Yaks could not like the cake because I know vanilla is delicious and I don't think you can have too much of it. I love how Pinkie Pie always is super serious about parties. I really don't know why they didn't just ask the sheep to move since it has been shown that sheep in MLP can talk. I like that they brought Cheery Jubilee back and how convenient it was that she was going to the crystal empire. I love the joke that Cheery was dreaming about a ravine. I thought for a second they were giving Spike a cool skill of being able to play the piano but nope. Also I can't believe the prince destroyed a perfectly good piano when the music was great and you loved it a second. I couldn't believe the Yaks declared war because how can they beat a country with pegasi, unicorns and 4 Alicorns do the math people. I love the panic party…perfect alliteration. I love the crazier adventure Pinkie Pie goes on and how it happened in an afternoon. It was so cool seeing Pinkie Pie meet the Beatles ponies and turned out to be the pony version of Ringo Starr. And Cadence out of no where although it makes sense because Pinkie Pie was going through the Crystal Empire. I felt bad for Twilight Sparkle because she wasn't purposely putting pressure on Pinkie Pie. I like the Giant…Wolf yeti also Yakyakistan looks small. I love that Pinkie Pie’s reality warper power/rule of funny allows her to get back to ponyville in I’d say…1:30. I love how dedicated Pinkie Pie is to making people happy as to have files on how to make people happiest. I also love the strange phobia of quesadillas Twilight Sparkle has. I also love the really heartwarming moment between Pinkie Pie and the mane 6. I love that Fluttershy references Pinkie Pie warping reality. I think the Pinkie Pie called in favors from the ponies she met on her journey to set the party up so quickly. I love that Bon-Bon gave Lyra a flower. I think the lesson on culture shock is great but not in the episode because of how over the top the Yaks anger is. I love that Celestia was like what was that about war Twilight Sparkle. I like that Pinkie Pie almost became a squeaky toy at the end.

One of the things that stood out to me in this episode was the fact that Pinkie has a party dungeon/lair.

Feel free to declare war on Equestria, you'll lose. Equestria has 3 god like entities within the borders and is allies with another god like entity outside the borders. Such a war would be laughably one-sided

War was actually mentioned by name already, way back in season 2 in the Twilight time travel episode.

I am split on this episode. The yaks don't have the best first impression. Pinkie Pie is great. The facial expressions are stellar.

*sigh* Normally I really enjoy your commentaries, but you talked way, WAY too much during this one and missed like half the dialogue and some of the best moments. For example, I thought the part right after they declared war was hilarious, but you were off on a tangent over top of the entire thing. :(
