When Twilight puts Pinkie in charge of planning a party to welcome guests from Yakyakistan, can she make the visitors feel welcome, or will things take a turn for the worse?
This was a totally fun and zany episode! Beatles reference, more adorable faces, random, side-splitting humor... How can you not love this episode? I certainly do!

Oh this was so much better then last week. I really liked this episode except for those freaking Yaks. They wrecked Twilights castle FFS! But i guess i can sorta forgive them in the end, so... fine! Also sled physics apparently have zero friction. In the end, Pinkie Pie is my favorite pony so i really enjoyed this one. Great reaction btw! I love your laugh, its intoxicating for some reason, and i hope that doesn't weird you out. But yea. Cant wait for next week!

EP 11 I like this episode. I love that Twilight Sparkle gets so nervous she makes a really crazy face that is from the episode Lesson Zero. I am glad to see Twilight Sparkle doing more things as a princess. I think the Yaks are assholes because you do not disrespect a host as hospitable as Twilight Sparkle by wreaking their house. I love how Pinkie Pie is the only one besides Twilight Sparkle to read about the Yaks. I disliked the Yaks more and more as they destroyed Applejack’s barn, Rarity’s boutique and almost destroyed a bunch of animals. Also do all animals in Yakyakistan have horns. Twilight Sparkle really put a lot of pressure on Pinkie Pie considering the Yaks are unreasonable dicks in my opinion. I love that Pinkie Pie is so nervous her facial expressions almost reach SMILE HD levels of creepy. I like Pinkie Pie’s interaction with Gummy and I wouldn't be surprised if they had a psychic connection and he answers Pinkie Pie’s questions. I love that we now have Gummy mail. I don't know how the Yaks could not like the cake because I know vanilla is delicious and I don't think you can have too much of it. I love how Pinkie Pie always is super serious about parties. I really don't know why they didn't just ask the sheep to move since it has been shown that sheep in MLP can talk. I like that they brought Cheery Jubilee back and how convenient it was that she was going to the crystal empire. I love the joke that Cheery was dreaming about a ravine. I thought for a second they were giving Spike a cool skill of being able to play the piano but nope. Also I can't believe the prince destroyed a perfectly good piano when the music was great and you loved it a second. I couldn't believe the Yaks declared war because how can they beat a country with pegasi, unicorns and 4 Alicorns do the math people. I love the panic party…perfect alliteration. I love the crazier adventure Pinkie Pie goes on and how it happened in an afternoon. It was so cool seeing Pinkie Pie meet the Beatles ponies and turned out to be the pony version of Ringo Starr. And Cadence out of no where although it makes sense because Pinkie Pie was going through the Crystal Empire. I felt bad for Twilight Sparkle because she wasn't purposely putting pressure on Pinkie Pie. I like the Giant…Wolf yeti also Yakyakistan looks small. I love that Pinkie Pie’s reality warper power/rule of funny allows her to get back to ponyville in I’d say…1:30. I love how dedicated Pinkie Pie is to making people happy as to have files on how to make people happiest. I also love the strange phobia of quesadillas Twilight Sparkle has. I also love the really heartwarming moment between Pinkie Pie and the mane 6. I love that Fluttershy references Pinkie Pie warping reality. I think the Pinkie Pie called in favors from the ponies she met on her journey to set the party up so quickly. I love that Bon-Bon gave Lyra a flower. I think the lesson on culture shock is great but not in the episode because of how over the top the Yaks anger is. I love that Celestia was like what was that about war Twilight Sparkle. I like that Pinkie Pie almost became a squeaky toy at the end.

I Really Like this Episode was Fun, last part was Rush BUT, It was Great. I Laugh a lot the Yaks just wreck Twilight's Castle. after all Great Episode.

While your "solutions" would probably be practical against most of the singular antagonists, even the major antagonists, using that on a diplomatic yak leader probably would turn out worse for the ponies. Unless you bring in Discord, I'm certain an army of hundreds of yaks that are obviously stronger and more resilient than any pony would win, even against the princesses. Strength and numbers, if there are enough of them, could probably even overpower a couple alicorns. Remember, Alicorns, in canon, are not almighty gods, just very powerful ponies that, in some cases, live longer. So if this show was less kid-friendly, a war between yaks ponies would likely result in more dead ponies than yaks, at least until Discord brings them back to life as intelligent zombies. After that the ponies would definitely win, though with a population consisting of 90% still-sentient zombies. Which honestly wouldn't be too bad. ...That comment turned rather weird at the end. Regardless, they were going for diplomacy first, and then probably any other way of maintaining peace between the 2 nations

Watcher weatherly23 The yaks would have no chance of winning...however, if they seperated and terrorized multiple cities at once...the war could last a long time and spread the princesses thin...if they all just ran at Catnerlot...would be a pretty easy victory for the Alicorns...but otherwise, there could of been many deaths

DrunkFrank TV Yeah. If you went for all 4 Alicorns at once, it would most definitely equal victory for the ponies. Their combined might was equal to hundredss of ponies might. But even if they did die, you could just get Discord to bring them back to life. They'd be somewhat decayed zombies, but they'd still have their brains working, so there'd be no real losses. Plus having a nation of terrifying zombies would be great at scaring away most threats.

BlazingRefrain2001 Except Spike never learns. He has no character development, everytime he screws up something because of his own selfishness/stupidity, all he does is say he's sorry and everyone forgives him. I seriously hope that in possible future Spike episodes Twilight will sit him down and say "Spike, this has to stop".

The reason most people dislike Spike, at least from what I can tell, is because the writers can't seem to decide how they want to portray him. In episodes in which he has a supporting role (the recent tree episode is a good example) he makes for a decently written sidekick character, who usually acts roughly like a human teenager, maybe thirteen or fourteen years old. In the episodes where he is the primary character, the writers tend to write him acting far much less mature than when he isn't in the spotlight. Beyond that, most fans will agree that Spike episodes are lesser in quality than the others. Personally, I think that as Spike episodes have went, Princess Spike was a decent idea, with its themes of being overshadowed by someone close to you, getting carried away with power you don't know how to use, and going to far while helping a friend. However, it suffered from Spike's sudden characterization shift that Spike-centric episode usually feature. If they wanted to make the episode better, they should have shown Spike acting a bit more maturely (drawing on what he's learned in previous episodes), and maybe had Luna have a talk with Spike about feeling overshadowed by someone you love.

Craig Tierney That's exactly how I feel about him, too. Spike has great potential, being a dragon among ponies and all, but that potential is severly wasted, and I believe that's what frustrates people.

Illumanatee So tell me, how is Spike suppose to develop at his age. Simple answer: he can't. Why? Because he's not just a kid but a dragon. It works for the CMC's but not Spike for this reason. Spike has the greatest potential on this show as an incredible character but not as a kid. The greatest time to tap into that potential is when he's older otherwise all the lessons he's learned are meaningless like what everyone says. I would like to say the episode's he has are preparing him for the great inevitable struggle he will have as a dragon among ponies but that's only if the writer's do some kind of time skip and that's probably the most unlikely thing to ever happen in the show. Its unfortunate, but that's the reality of the only way his character can fully develop and most surpass even the Mane 6's character development. But in the mean time while everyone ignores this and continues to hate him I'll just sit and enjoy his episodes like I always have because I'm not so uptight on continuity and character development like most are

Cesar Pena I could give a rat's ass about character development if his character was good. But it isn't. And it's not that hard to give him character development, he's an assistant to a magically talented alicorn, one would expect him to pick up some of that knowledge and wisdom and whatnot. Besides, we have seen Spike with good, voice-of-reason personality, meaning he is more mature than one would assume. Not to mention he was able to play piano in Over a Barrel, I was slightly disappointed when it turned out he had that autoplayer-thingy.
