One of the most heartwarming endings to a video game I have ever played. Luigi's saves his brother,stops king Boo,frees an entire valley of ghosts from the villain's clutches,adopts the cutest ghost doggy seen,and most likely conquered his ghost phobia.

This was a great sequel! I'm Hoping for a another one for the Wii U Luigi's Mansion is like one of those only out there Kid Horror games no gore, no blood and sometimes you can get a little scared. I think Luigi definitely deserved a year dedicated to him.

Can we PLEASE talk about 3:28? Because it is so fucking obvious the way he says "Th-thanks, Mario..." that he hardly ever gets that kind of recognition, from his bro or otherwise. He's just so happy to hear those words that he's practically speechless, and that is what brought me to tears at the end of this game.

MsTheCommentator Actually, Mario is one of the few people who respect Luigi for who he is as seen in the Mario&Luigi games, although he doesn’t always show how much he means to him, probably because he simply isn’t much of a talker. However, it is very uncommon that Luigi has to save Mario as it’s usually vice versa, so Mario doesn’t get the opportunity to genuinely thank and praise him that often. Luigi on the other hand looks up to Mario, so getting praised by him is obviously extra special but also kind of strange to him, that’s probably why he’s so awkward in this scene. But I agree, it’s an incredibly sweet moment.

0:56, 3:24 Can we just appreciate how absolutely sweet these moments are? We rarely get to see these brothers show affection, it’s depressing. Not only are they brothers but TWIN brothers! Come on Nintendo, we need more hugs! The ghosts were a good start but Mario needs to hug Luigi for all the crap he’s gone through. And no that half-hug at 2:50 doesn’t count.

Now Luigi may be my favorite of the Mario Bros, but Mario's still an awesome brother. It'd be so easy to take all the glory from someone as meek as Luigi, but this scene just warms my heart, especially when he thanks his brother and says 'That's my bro!'. They're both just too awesome.

3:10-4:15 (sigh) Befriending Polterpup vas the most touching thing that occured in the ending cutscene... It made me cry the first time vhen I saw how the poor dog had remorse and he vas so ashamed of his actions, but then Luigi befriending him and taking him under his ving? (Sniff) That STILL touches my heart to this ferry day... (cries) And now he's a helpful ally in Luigi's Mansion 3 vheneffer Luigi faints? Eefen though I'm not in the Mario and Luigi series, Nintendo STILL made my day...

I'm assuming that the Dark Moon didn't control the ghosts, it just took away their good morals, making them think causing chaos and inflicting pain to others was okay. We can see proof to this when the Polterpup walks up to Luigi in shame. He didn't know what he was doing was wrong when he did it and he's sorry. The reason that they terrorized E Gadd in the intro is because they throught it was fun, and the reason they attacked Luigi throughout the game is either because they knew he was a good guy, or it's because King Boo and the Boos told them to, or convinced them that he meant harm.

You have it backwards, the Dark Moon being _gone_ is what takes away their good morals.

Current theory is that the Dark Moon prevents ghosts from being controlled. King Boo destroyed the Dark Moon so that he could control them. This explains why Polterpup doesn't have pupils in LM3, and why the other nice ghosts don't have pupils after King Boo's jewel is destroyed. Luigi's House might be in range of the Dark Moon, explaining why Polterpup has pupils at his house.

Every time I see this I feel like I’m about to cry. The relationship between Mario and Luigi is so wholesome and I adore their dynamic. Luigi is such a massive comfort character to me and seeing him so happy just makes me happy as well. He’s so cute I just wish the best for him and his bro 🥺😭😭

am i the only one that thinks it is heart warming to see that mario actually cares and appreciate luigis efforts to save him it goes to show that mario isnt the monster people make out to be.cough cough matpat at the end of the day its a mario game the plot is simply and always has been simply i wouldnt try and question it and when i say at the end of day its a mario game i mean marios games not luigis mansion

This is such a great ending. Finally Luigi gets some respect from his brother. I like seeing the two interact, I'd like to see more character interactions in the Mario universe like in the RPG's.
