Luka Doncic made a step back 3PT FG with 00:03 seconds left on the clock and the Wolves could not convert on their final possession as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 109-108 to take a 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals. Luka Doncic led Dallas with his eighth career Playoff triple double as he tallied 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds.

Luka's IQ and brain processing speed are 100 points higher than everyone else's. Just watch him when he's dribbling. Most players react and make a decision once every few seconds; he makes a decision every few milliseconds. He's playing with multiple injuries and is visibly slower and less athletic, and *still* nobody can guard him, because his brain is always 1 second ahead of other players 🤯

The degree of difficulty on both his threes and his assists is so high. Almost all his threes are off the dribble in isolation. Almost all his assists are either lookaways, thrown before the pass even looked available, or thrown right before they would have become a turnover. 0:13 seems obvious but it’s congested and McDaniels is all over him 1:07 an incredibly hard shot 1:14 an even more incredibly hard shot 1:28 that’s crazy. Two guys on him and laser to a wide open lay up 1:43 pretty obvious, still requires some very quick court-mapping 1:54 also obvious but the lookaway guarantees 2 pts instead of a possible turnover or contested three without the lookaway pass 2:17 this is sickening. So good on offense all three Wolves stick to Luka. Man his three wide open passes to choose from 2:58 yet another guaranteeing of 2 pts from a lookaway. Rather than 1.2 pts expected from a three or contested layup. 3:07 just so difficult 3:28 an obvious pass, but the lookaway guarantees a completely wide open three, rather than a close out from edwards 3:50 now one where he has the confidence to wait for Rudy to contest until he’s like .1 seconds from traveling, giving a good finisher an open finish. 4:30 the awareness of the shotclock. The balls to make that pass. Knowing Conley expects the more obvious pass to DJJ. All done while he’s double teamed. But leaving Kyrie enough time to shoot comfortably. 4:40 nuff said
