Lukas I swear every time I hear this song it hits a different part of my heart. My mom was killed when she was only 44 years old, and about two years later my little girl died. Grief overwhelmed me I didn’t know what to do. After some months I went to Sedona and got a little place and stayed for a while. I would go to this location that you cannot go to now it’s blocked off from public but it wasn’t then. I would start a little fire from a hole that had already existed, lay my night roll down and stare at the stars. The heavens helped give me perspective and made me not angry with God anymore. I was furious with God. But when I saw the vastness of the stars all the shooting stars I could see my mother and my daughter there. Somehow or the other after months I could breathe and I didn’t cry all the time. I could say their names and not burst into tears. I did continue to say their names because I didn’t want them to be forgotten. Today, your song makes me think of them and feel some peace. I miss them so much. Thank you for reminding me of the stars in the heavens. I needed that today and I thank you sincerely. 🕊🕊🤍🤍

Lucus you remind me of my brother. He passed away on May 4th of mastatic lung cancer he was 55 years young. A disabled Army Veteran. He loved your dad's music. I'm playing your song" can you hear me love you" at his memorial on Saturday. It tells our life story. You are a very special and gifted young man with a very big future ahead of you. And you have no idea how much you and your family have touched our lives and everyone else's also.

Dear Lukas Nelson, I am writing to you to Thank You for the Music and the Journey So far, I lost my Loving Girlfriend Jerilyn very recently August of this year, Stars made of You was my song to her because she loved you and your music. We discovered you together one night and we laughed we cried and we started to follow you the band and the music although we never had tickets we planned on driving down to Pourkeepsi to Capital theater in New York, Corona virus hit literally right before and all yours were cancelled.. Jerilyn was your biggest fan and she was my biggest fan I'm sad each and every day that passes by without her in my life, She died in my arms that day and I just wanted to let you know how that song impacted my life as I know it, and Thank You for bringing Jerilyn and myself together to always remember because those Stars are made of her and they are Now the hands that hold her Now, she would Love to know I wrote to you, because we laughed and joked and I use to say to her I don't like this Lukas Nelson Guy because my girlfriend is going to Run Off with him someday.. Just listened to this beautiful song 10 minutes ago. Again Lukas Nelson gently weaves his thoughtful and respectful lyrics into the listeners very soul ( certainly that's what happened to me) and transforms you to the real moments, experiences, memories and parts of your life that involved feelings of love, loss and fear. In my life I have endured a long period of illness which has caused me chronic daily pain and subsequently has impacted on my mobility. I also struggle with managing chronic lymphocytic leukaemia but my beautiful wife has been consistently by my side. Caring for me and loving me, I feel she sacrifices so much of herself by always being there, never complaining. This song speaks to me of how lucky I am to have known and loved her. We've been together for forty years and we both have two great children (adults now) who are literally, the two of us combined. Your song, like so many others, remind me of who I am, what I have and, how frightened I am of losing it all. Keep writing and producing the shear artistic skill you possess, the world is all the better for it.

The world as a whole needs more of the heart they bring to everyone that hears their music. I feel very fortunate to have been able to see Willie twice in concert and now to also hear the music of his sons which is true and honest. They are what America’s family epitomizes. I think he's one hell of a man he's gorgeous I KNOW it's a lotta work he puts into his music makes it even more sexier because it's not easy to create music or play it you have to do it every day of the week of the year 24/7 practically is 7 days a week repetitious and nobody's here for the practice so I say he's his own man with his own voice with the flavor of his father I love Willie but I never really listened to him as much as I listen to his son I don't know just my opinion I say this b-real 2020 !!!!!!

Lukas, you inherited your Dad's voice & it's way you touch others. Ask him about Mae Boren Axton. She listened to his demo & mentored him. She was so proud of him. At family reunions w/ Mae & Hoyt there we often heard tales. When I saw you & your Dad do "Breathe " it was shortly before my Dad passed away. Mom turns 91 at the end of May. I know I will play that song again soon. 💙bonnie blue

I do not know if you read these comments or not, but I am so impressed with you and your music. I wish you would sing "Let There Be Peace on Earth" at this time of crisis. The death of George Floyd should have touched us all and my wish for the world would be to come together in peace and not violence to begin to heal. We cannot let this loss of this human being be in vain. We need to change our world, but thru peace not violence. Thru strength and kindness. We give them what they want when we react in violence. Hey. I came back today for another listen. I was given a beautiful bouquet a few hours ago for mother day which I revived in honor of my mom. The song she chose for her "leaving song", was, " I'll fly away" . My brother and I sung it at her graveside service. My moma is still the light in my eyes.. Redbirds were special to her so every time one comes to visit me, I say"hi moma, I miss you and love you so much, I'm glad you came to see me today" Your song has a very heartfelt soul and it was just another thing to remind me of the wonderful lady she was and to say " Hi Moma".. I have just watched your video of "We'll Be Alright" and your video of you playing your Dad's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain." The second is my special song to my Dad, who died in March 2016. In the first, I can hear your Dad's influence on your music, because I hear something of the Red Headed Stranger in your song. Kudos!! "Stars Made of You" is sensitive and compelling. Had to listen to this nugget twice before I made a comment. 🕊 The lyrics remind me of a children's book titled Remember the Night Rainbow where on one of the pages it reads: "if tomorrow morning the sky falls (turn the page) have clouds for breakfast" Isn't that farout!!! ☮ Blessings in abundance Lukas Autry, et al.
