I haven't done my French lessons in four years. Each night I look outside and see the Duolingo Owl standing on my street. At first, he was at the end of the block, smoking a cigar under the streetlamp, gazing at my house. Menacingly. A few months went by and I saw him sitting beneath my neighbors oak tree with a baseball bat at his side, his piercing, bloodshot eyes looking directly through my window as I drew the curtains together and hid in the other room. Two weeks ago he stood in my driveway, hooting in what I could only assume to be a thick French accent - I could no longer tell, it's been so long. I called the cops, but they simply laughed demonicly. I could tell they were working with the Duolingo Owl. There's no hope now. I have nowhere else to turn to. Last night he stood on my doorstep and repeatedly rang the doorbell, all night long, hooting maniacly as if sensing my torture. Tonight, as I write this, I hear him coming closer to my room. He's standing in the doorway now, his head spinning round and round in circles slowly. It-it's horrifying! I'm finding it hard to tear my eyes away, to snap out of this daze. I- *Oh my god-! No, ple-* Je me suis fait agresser.

The joke is that i was born not only in south america thus i spanish is my native language, but since its very unsafe there, i know how to act when there are intruders, this is just a stereotype though, and doesnt apply to all people
