9 minutes in and not one mention of long term review. No review of how it’s performed, where it worked well, where it fell short. This is all unboxing type feature description and close up on dirty nails. I was looking for a long term review as the title described.

I have one for over 12 years now. Still works flawlessly and still scratch less. The only thing I've replaced(aside from the battery) is the strap.

Great looking build. There are some other Luminox that I’d like to have ahead of this one, though. Love the watches I’ve seen in their lineup, but the cost is what keeps me away.

I watched your last review about their customer service. I've been looking to get a new watch. Been a fan of luminox for years. I've just been a little skittish spending that much on a watch. After this video first it was on you for buying the watch not luminox. I am "EXTREMELY IMPRESSED" with their customer service. I was struggling trying to choose between citizen and luminox. I JUST MADE MY DECISION!! Customer service can make or brake a company. Luminox has went far beyond that.

Missed this one when you got it .Great looking bulletproof watch .Might 've been good to have another battery for a dodgy but useful back light that g shocks have lol. It would be really interesting to see how tritium tubes actually glow on a 15 yr old watch .Must be a video out there somwhere .Also have tritium tubes improved over the last few years I wonder ?

On first glances, when it comes to price points - there is no beating Casio for a watch with more functions and many models now comes solar powered. But Luminox has an appeal for me because of precisely the opposite reason too - I just like to wear a watch I can see the time very legibly (like while mountain biking). The tritium tubes in my 10 year old 3001 Seal watch still glows well in the dark while my other watches do not after about 3-4 years. Also, I am abit old fashioned and still prefer the easy pull out crown to change the time/date as opposed to having to read a user manual for some of my other watches (my Casio Protrek Multiband for example). Granted a Luminox does cost more but they are also repairable (as opposed to being told its not worth to repair some brands of watches - hence the throwaway watch)

Luminovas you have to charge with a light source, something you totally did not say. Tritium always on. Something as important as this, you should have say the true difference between the 2. Unreal

I really love the stealth/ blacked out style. I think the navy seal thing is pushed to hard on, but I know a brand needs to tell a story to make their products have a special catch. I own a KHS Shooter MK 2 XATC automatic which has a lot of similarities to this Luminox series. But it is Made in Germany and actually really does have a direct line to the (German) special forces (DSK) in supporting them.

Hey Joe. I think the reason that you dont see a lot of coverage of Luminox on KZfaq is because people just dont like them that much! I hardly ever see a positive review. They are perceived as cheap, gimmicky, toy like, etc. and not as tough as the Casio equivalent. They definitely have a loyal fan base but it seems to be the exception than the rule. Military watches seem to fall under two genres. Big, light, shock resistant. Or small, compact, durable. It almost seems like if you are going to make a 45mm field watch, it is going to have to be shock resistant because with that size you are much more likely to hit it against something! For me a field watch has to be small and easy to read. It has to be invisible until I need to use it. I dont want it to be catching on things, bumping into things, snagging on gear or clothing.

It is always a personal preference and a point of view. But the price of this is about 4+ Gs (proven tough) with ease. 4:57 - completely agree. 11:35 - wondered how much of this is really a SWISS MADE (watched the video of Mr. WatchCrazy). 13:42 - c'mon man... present the weight in metric units too...

IMHO the Luminox is to expensive for what it is -- i have the black on Black Turtle and it feels and looks like a cheap toy. i paid over $300. for it but it's worth $50.
