It's honestly sad to see Lusitania's wreck in such a bad condition. It's not just her bow broken but also her back after the sunken section began settling...

Absolutely INCREDIBLE detail. I can't imagine being on that U boat, looking through the periscope, and not only seeing Lucy sink but see all those poor people dying. Thank you for posting the video. VERY VERY well done.

Probably just giving her a sweet nickname you know how you shorten people's last names. She was probably called Lucy by some of the people who are into passenger liners or something, you know how it is sometimes.

The sinking of the Lusitania is a tragedy, as all boat sinking, but when I see the title, for me there is something wrong, murdered should be replaced by sacrificed. The reason why, and this is widely available even on wikipedia. The Franco-Britanics allies were losing the war at this point and needed the help of the USA, but US citizens did not want to go at war. This beautiful liner was also carrying a load of weapons and ammo (173 tons to be precise) , and that was forbidden for civil liners. Initially, 2 destroyers were supposed to escort the Lusitania, but at the last minutes the HMS Louis and HMS Laverock got the order from Lord Winston Churchill, who was lord of the admiralty, to leave the Lusitania alone despite they got the report that a German U-BOAT was really close. THe 2 destroyers left the Lusitania alone, defenceless and she was torpedoed 40 minutes later. So, the ship and the passengers were sacrificed on purpose to turn the US citizen opinion. Well Done but the real criminal are the british admiralty that sacrificed all these innocent lives in the cold Irish sea. Despite this, well done, nice video and animation, good job

The fact that you also included the german U-Boat already tells me how much effort you tried to put into your animation. And it's safe to say that your efforts haven't gone unnoticed at all. What you created here is just simply splendid! Bravo!

Very well done animation! However are we sure that Captain Turner tried to beach the ship? Lusitania wasn’t like Brittanic she was quite far away from Land, in the video it reports 11 miles and if I am not wrong the wreck is still at 4 miles. My guess is that his commands weren’t working and that he didn’t have enough time to eject the steam. Also from other videos I saw that they make at a certain point Lusitania sink vertically and they never mention that she hit the sea floor. It is plausible that she hit the sea floor, however is there a historic recount? Also was it a guess that Lusitania was going 1-2 knots in her final minutes and how much do guess that Lusitania moved in her last 18 minutes?
@DannyDraws1912
@DannyDraws1912 27 күн бұрын
Thank you, he didn’t necessarily try to beach her but he was attempting to get her closer to shore, most likely to get her into dock in Queenstown.

That is how it is done. First nice touch were the original clips from the ship. That instantly gave a more tangible emotional connection to the ship. Second of all, the detail in the sinking was very nicely shown. People stuck in elevators when the water flooded in, is an imagination of a nightmare. What a shitty way to die. You have the best water animation... still not real, but good enough. And let me thank you, that you this time mostly let the DOF and tilt shift alone. Now the tragedy can be clearly seen. That entire thing is top notch... and a thumbs up is happily given. 2 small things come to mind: If the sinking took place only 11 miles away from the irish coast... should Ireland not be seen in the background on a relatively clear day? If it is there, is missed it.... and... Is it true, that the screws were still turning, when she finally fell under the see at around 8:58 in the clip? I would have expected, they lost power at this point already... I am just wondering... Other than that... Very well made. Thank you!
@DannyDraws1912

Yes she was very close to the Irish coast, but I tried replicating it but it just didn’t look good so I decided to go without. And yes the screws were still turning to the end, I’m unaware of the exact cause but I think it’s due to the remaining steam left as the boilers were still lit

On this day we have no idea what cause a second explosion it was, here is my theory what I think Happend. I think it was a steam pipe explosion that cause a second blow. What do you think what second explosion was, let me know.
