I know that’s probably far fetched but at this point it’s the only way to get those that are obviously bad and those that are possibly paid opposition to the duds like Schiff and Biden. I jus had this conversation with a buddy of mine who’s a lot more optimistic than I am. They imbedded themselves in our schools, businesses, city councils, District Attorneys and on and on all the way to the top. But I do have hope that President Trump could turn this around on a dime. I saw Skynyrd with Johnny singing in the early 90s in Toronto at Canada's Wonderland opening up with MCA and they still had Billy Powell Gary rossington and Ed King and it was freaking awesome! Ronnie's wife used to have this rule that if there wasn't three original Skynyrd members than the band couldn't go on but that went to hell because now there's none and they're still touring. I love how in most of their shows from the summer of '76 when they got Steve to the last concert in Greenville , they were able to do Workin for MCA again which was something they couldn't do since Ed King who wrote the song with Ronnie and made the awesome solo in the middle of the song after Billy's piano solo and then go straight into I ain't the one. That's straight up badass right there.

Awesome band and performance - I know because I was there in 1976, just 16 years old and only my 3rd gig - many followed. This was the opening number and it grabbed the crowd from the word go. I had gone to Knebworth to see Skynyrd and the Stones - my two favourite bands at the time and still are to this day. Lynyrd Skynyrd blew everyone off the stage that day - they were outrageously good and the sound quality was perfection. An incredible memory for me was the rendition of Free Bird on that sultry summers evening as the sun was setting - it was the highlight of the whole day and difficult to follow. I went on to see Skynyrd at the Rainbow Theatre the following year and they were equally good there too - sadly the plane crash deprived us of so much talent. I will never forget Knebworth 1976 that's for sure. All the bands ran late that day and the Stones didn't get on till about midnight so gig finished about 2am. My only thoughts then were "How the hell do I get home?!", but that was just secondary as I was on a high - I had witnessed rock history.
