I just got my dad one if these for fathers day to pull water out of a ditch to water his plants. We put a 100' garden hose on it with an on/off throw style valve at the end. A few things I noticed... First, if the pump doesn't sense water flowing through it after about 15 seconds, it shuts itself off. However, when the pump is full of water and the valve is off, and the water is sitting idle, the pump will not shut itself off. (That's a good thing) Just in case anyone was wondering, this pump is not a pressurized auto shutoff. Its strictly on/off. Second, the flow at the outlet on this unit is impressive. It really kicks the water out of there. Now with that being said, it does lose a lot of that pressure over 100'. I would say at our 100' with (I'm guessing) 10' of head lift or so, we are probably getting about 1-2 gallon per minute flow. We also had to get all the air out of the hose before it could even flow 100'. Now, what cool is that it seems to hold prime pretty well. We left it on (and off) for 30 minutes and still came back to flowing water out the throw valve. I actually left it sit off for a week (valve on end of hose closed) and came back and turned it on, and it was not primed all the way. You could hear the water sucking up and down the tube for about 45 seconds and then the water started flowing again. So were were very pleased. Keep in mind that this is a very extreme case of use here. I'm sure if we cut the 100' hose down to 50', we would see improvement. But I just wanted to let people know our experience thus far. I would give this little pump 5 out of 5 stars for what it is, and it's intended use, and probably a good solid 4 stars for what we're doing with it.

Can you leave it out in rainstorms and run it.
@grantdeisig1360
@grantdeisig1360 Жыл бұрын
@@matt7iron I'm sure it's not recommended, but I've had ours apart and everything seems to be marine grade, and the electronics were sealed. The only thing that would probably not like being outside in the rain would be the battery itself. So, probably not the best idea unless your going to cover it up.

So I wanna have good water pressure for rinsing out long thick hair. I have two Yeti Hopper M30 bags that hold about 5 gallons each . If you put a garden hose sprayer at the other end will it keep pressure WITHOUT STUTTERING? As some pumps will stutter when operated below their rates output .

Im a commercial plumber. I get calls to repair large water mains. When they break they move a lot of dirt out of their way and fill the hole with water. I just bought this on the way to another break. Saved my ass. It moves a lot of water and you can thread a hose onto the male hose threads on the body. A very good toll. It moves W A T E R very well. It does not like mud at all.

@PhillipBridgesReviews
@PhillipBridgesReviews Жыл бұрын
As on now there is no attachment to make the pipe longer. The Tranfer stick his a 15 foot lift capacity. Drain hose, you can add almost a 100 feet of hose and it will still drain at a decent flow.

Got one but it’s not pumping out water, the guy I bought off gave me a small red battery I believe it’s a 2amp you think that can be the problem ? Haven’t tried it with a different battery yet
@PhillipBridgesReviews
@PhillipBridgesReviews 4 ай бұрын
It should start pumping it right away. If it’s used it might be clogged or something wrong with the pump. Battery shouldn’t be an issue. It would really only affect the run time. Also can depend on the hose length if you are using a long hose for the outlet water.

Won’t hurt anything. There’s millions of people worldwide that drink from gardening hoses that’s not made for potable water use. The few times it would be used for that task wouldn’t hurt a baby much less anyone else. Probably get worse water out of fountain drink machines than any bad there would be filling a RV tank. Any bad that would come from that. People wouldn’t live long enough to ever have an negative effect from it

Milwaukee states it is not to be used with transferring fuel or oils.
@edgy1rocks
@edgy1rocks Жыл бұрын
I was very excited to see this as a possible solution to transferring diesel fuel into equipment but the size of the filter assembly at the end pretty much wiped out that plan as well as the fact Milwaukee doesn’t want you to use it with anything but water. They have another M18 pump that can be used for diesel fuel. Costs a little more though.

Use a 12v bilge pump. Attach one to whatever combination of pipe/hose works best for you, can even use a 12v power tool battery to power it. Battery adapters (brand-to-brand or battery-to-wire) can be found even on ebay.
