Excellent review. You answered all of my questions. I also noticed the similarity to the Juha carver. Almost the same blade with the exception of some length and a more pronounced drop point on the m23. Love your channel.

Looks like a great set up Tim, I see it is described as a scandi grind but it looks closer to a sabre grind or somewhere in between. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for sharing, Tim Great little review! 👍🏻 I love mine. I'm a proud Peltonen fan boy, tho, so.... 😁 I got mine for $107 CDN which is about 67€. They're advertised for that right now. This thing is a light sabre. It sits on my Peltonen M95 sheath, and I'm thinking that the two could handle most anything my part of Canada (boreal forest of Northern Ontario) can throw at it. I would say that this is what the eldris tried to be, but WAY better, imho. The kydex sheath holds a lot of the value (to me) and i think its worth buying partly because of the excellent kydex sheath. It's an indestructable little blade, I think.
@KuukkeliBushcraft
@KuukkeliBushcraft 2 ай бұрын
That sounds like a much better price. The sheath fits perfectly on the Sissipuukko leather sheath.I just demonstrated on a short. It was you that gave me the idea. So thank you very much for that. It actually does look as if it was designed with that in mind. I think I will be attaching it to my Skrama though. Perfect fire making combo.

Looks a very interesting little knife Tim, will keep my eyes open for that drop 😂… Tried to keep the cherry as fresh as I could, sorry mate! If you’re still carving it, soaking it in water for a few days will soften it up, may smell a little when it comes out, but that’ll fade once it’s dry… good look pal!

Im not sure i ever seen a video from you that didn't have snow. Its almost like you live in winter 365 days a year. Really like this design. It seems like a very good second knife. Especially where i live we only get snow a few times a year. On second thought at the price i belive I'll buy some blade blanks and make my own handles. Just a thought.

The Lauri PT whittler 80 blade I think is almost identical to this one. Certainly the same steel and heat treatment. We have snow for about 7 months of the year, it can snow in the summer too but it never sticks. It is actually quite a mild climate here taking into account the latitude (we are very far north). The same latitude in Siberia or Alaska winter is even longer. I would expect the price of this knife will drop when it has been out for a while.might be worth waiting. Thank you for watching Richard.

Often Finnish knives can be hard to come by. Probably best to get one shipped from Finland. From what I hear stuff normally arrives in the United States from the south of Finland as quick as it takes to get to here in the North (I sometimes think that maybe the donkey froze to death around Oulu 🤣). It's a nice little knife. Thanks for watching mate. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

@KuukkeliBushcraft

Entonces no hace falta pagar mucho.

Similar cost and 3 times as much steel. Can you imagine how much it will cost when they bring out the monster chopping blade wich logically should come next 😂. Hi mate, a great knife. I did a bit of searching on the internet. It was also available in orange, black and green. I also found it with a leather sheath for 80 €. It is supposed to be induction hardened. But let's hope that the connection between the tang and the plastic handle is more durable than with the Rokka knife. I also have the Whittling Puukko with guard by Juha Perttula. I like that one better. Thank you for the great presentation. With kind regards

Very good choice ot tools. You certainly don't need to pay 95 euros for something like this. It is you that makes much more of a difference to how well something gets done. The main difference that the knife makes is just how well you have sharpened it, unless you have a completely inappropriate knife.

What the heck does tactical have to do with the craft of whittling. I think tactical is a word that has getting a lot of use describing something that I consider just not tactical. I do think the Finnish people were using puukkos tactically in the Winter War.

Tactical has nothing much to do with whittling mate. It was just a little joke about the appearance and design of the knife.
