@8:10 Two more efficiency cores, not performance cores. In fact, the number of performance cores is reduced to 3 (instead of 4) in the 256 GB and 512 GB models.

I bought the iPad 13, 256 model, do you think Final Cut performance compared to the M2 12.9 will lack? Especially since the 13, 256 has 8gig or RAM? Please test this for us.

If you are a poser who buys PRO products that don’t use at their full capacity then YES. However the extra processing and video memory will be great for Triple A games and also Higher resolution projects with much much layers to work with. Also 3D modeling and render time.

In the more environmental friendly Europe, the charger is not in the box fortunately. I have too many chargers (fortunately most of them are 25-65W PD which is more than enough for most laptops.

My 1 tb 13" 3 piece B standard glass will be here mañana first I-pad to go along with my G M1 8/8 16gb 1 tb air and 15pm 512 natural, hoping there is an announcement wwdc about advances but can see myself maybe as a converted laptop user or addition to, Military discount. Can hardly wait.

Just letting know your giveaway on Discord doesn't work for everyone. In order to apply you need to put in a cell number that can receive codes via SMS. I don't have have that. Is there a way you can change that to email?

At least make stage manager more usable with full screen support for certain apps like team viewer and ms remote desktop app. Even ms office apps have limited functionality on iPad os

In my case, I make use of my 11” IPad Pro 4th gen ultra-wide camera, and have taken some very nice landscape sceneries on vacations with it. I know not a lot of people use their iPads as cameras, but I do, and love it. Taking away the ultra-wide camera is a loss for me, and might prevent me from upgrading to the new M4 Pro anytime soon.

I buy Pros over Airs for, among other things, the quad speaker sound. Airs come with only two stereo speakers. Please compare the sound quality of the new 11” M4 Pro to the 4th Gen Pro. I fear Apple might give us worse speakers as a cost-savings move and lower the sound quality. Since they took away one of the five studio mics as well as the ultra-wide camera, it’s a valid fear, IMO.

I just checked Apple’s site for the iPad Pro and they do include the 20w charger. Make sure to have accurate information when making these kinds of videos.

I was excited when I heard m4 - but as with even the m1 generation, it’s just an overpowered and overpriced KZfaq machine, unless you’re a designer. Still sticking to the iPad mini.

Hopefully the 16 Pros are gonna have better battery life and software stability like the 13 Pros had due to N3E node and iOS 18. Currently planning to upgrade from my 14 Pro with 88%.

really weird about the deletions. we didnt need it THAT thin and light.... leave yourselves room to build for the future guys. i was considering the pro but lack of mm5G, the ultrawide and losing a mic hurt my motivation quite a bit. having to scale up the storage to get more features too but thats more expected since they arent going to waste the chips with a core faulty off the line, but going 8 to 16 would be super nice

I don't know who you mean by "we" but for me, the lesser weight is the most important feature of the 13" iPad Pro as I always hated how heavy my 12.9" M1 iPad Pro is.

I’m sure most of the deletions were to help offset the additional cost due to the OLED panels. -Another KZfaqr stated mm5G is only useful if you are within 20-30 ft from the tower. -Nobody takes photos with their iPad Pro much less uses the Ultrawide. I have not used it once in the whole year I’ve had my M2 Pro. -They have been scaling up storage to get features on the previous models. Nothing new. The iPadOS alone with its native apps doesn’t even use 8gb ram. The only people that might notice the ram differences are artists using 50+ layers on Procreate or video editors.

@@dman7895 Yes, but it could still get lighter. I know that's unlikely, but for me, the thinness is not what's important to me, it's the weight. I used my M1 iPad Pro less than I thought I would because it was too heavy for me. Well, I'll find out today! But what's also important to me is to have command-line access. I'll probably get that as I live in the EU and we're getting sideloading here as we did for the iPhone and I am sure someone will provide a decent terminal app that I'll be able to use. That'll probably make me part of the 0.0001% of the iPad users! 😉

"The new model has removed milimeter-wave 5G, so you'll get slower 5G speeds compared to the previoud generarion" That's a terrible way to put how the lack of mmWave 5G will affect users. For the vast majority of the time, people won't get slower speeds, their speeds will be the same as if not faster than the previous generation. Only in places that have mmWave support, which are rare, will you get slower speeds, but even then we're talking about speeds of 5Gbps, at those speeds your CPU won't be able to decompress compressed files sent over the internet fast enough for you to reach those speeds anyway, and it'll only be about not seeing the 5Gbps speed on Speedtest.
