I found Maangchi online a few years ago. What delicious food i made because of her. This year, i discovered Korean dramas on TV. Now i am learning Korean, eating Korean and watching all the good Korean dramas. Basically, I should be given a Korean passport and a ticket to Busan lol 😊😊🇰🇷🇰🇷

I've been marathon-ing many of your videos no matter how far back they are and trying out some of the recipes. Very fortunate for me, living here in Manila, mostly every mall, district and street corner, has an Asian grocery where all these ingredients are available and I've been stacking up on ingredients, condiments and spices. Last dish I made was japchae. I also made sampgyeopsal with some of the banchan or sides. My son and I can't have enough, so I will be making bibimbap soon, as well. Korean cuisine is so popular in the Philippines because there are so many Korean communities in cities where young people attend school to learn English in high school and college before going back to South Korea to be professionals. My husband was walking past when you mentioned mandu dumplings and he froze on the spot. He used to take these dumplings to the field when he was stationed in Hawaii. His face 😆Guess I know what to make for snacks today! Thanks for your great recipes. You always make us smile.

A guilty pleasure of mine is watching videos of Korean street vendors making this dish. Where I am there is no place making this which is sad because it looks amazing! Tteokbokki is my go to comfort food, I’m a purist so I’m not doing rose or carbonara. I have a Gochujang addiction and if my eyes aren’t running, it’s not spicy enough. Thank you for teaching those of us in Canada the joy of Korean cooking. It has been a weekly tradition for me, and when depression sets in, I make rice cake. The sauce I made yesterday included black pepper sauce and a touch of maple syrup, Grade AA straight from the tree as I didn’t have sugar. Turned out beautiful.

Thank you for showing each ingredient in the box...it will help me find the ones I don't already know about. We have a lovely Korean grocery store where I live.

I'm an American born Korean and my husband is American born Thai but we have 2 young boys. My oldest is 5 years old and he loves his grandma's kimchi, ghim, jjajangmyun and most recently jjajang ddukbokki! This is too spicy for him but I make a jjajang sauce for our ddukbokki with all the same toppings! Thank you for this recipe. I'll make this for me and my husband!

Amazing recipe. For those who have difficulties memorising its Korean name, think of "Jigsaw-tteokbokki", because it's much like a jigsaw puzzle: it's made by putting all those ingredients together!

This is me any my friend's favorite food when we were in high school. We call it as jeugseogtteogbokk-i. Good thing about this cooking method is the food doesn't get cold also we can put as many ingredients as we want 🤣
