Do you think it will a bit better with an SSD? I'm planning on getting an i5 with 256gb SSD. It is basically for writing browsing, I'm still not sure if it has all the ipad working woth features (it as monitor, clipboard shared...) I have an ipad pro M1 and I am mostly thinking of this because i'd like to share documents between them and trying the ecosystem since I have windows on my laptop

Just bought a Mac Mini 2014 with an i7 and 256SSD. It's a second computer and I only need it for my continuing education Zoom classes and basic internet. Hoping it will work for this. Otherwise, I use my MacBook Air M2 for heavy lifting, photography and Adobe suite.

Ubuntu will run just fine. I'm looking at 2012, which can still be upgraded. My $51.11 bid wasn't sufficient this last time.

I totally agree. I have a mac mini 2014 which is now too laggy to use and I wouldn’t advise anyone to get one as it too frustrating to operate.

I bought one and it is slow, even with a ssd! Boot time is more than one minute! Sometimes 90 seconds. 8gb with ssd. How come?

Slow processor and RAM. We are spoilt with the speed of new machines!

2,6 ghz i5 and 8GB ram is slow? My 512mb amiga 1000 with floppy drive and kickstart on a floppy boots up faster!

@@DJDanceClassic it’s slow for the OS it is running. You could downgrade it to get a better performance.
