I hope the legislation that ifixit Got introduced to Congress passes. I think it may have already passed the house. It will ban companies like Apple and other tech companies from planned obsolescence and forcing people to buy new machines and not upgrade them and repair them themselves. I actually sold my Apple stock and refused to buy any new machines from them until they make them upgradeable again. Until then, I will continue to use my third generation Mac Pro tower, and my mid 2012 MacBook Pro, and even my 2005 dual G5

Unbelievable how anti-consumer they've made this. On the older models, the process was literally this: 1.) Take the back off your mac. 2.) pop the old ram sticks out. 3.) pop the new ram sticks in. It was like changing batteries. Now they got people poppin' their computer in the oven like a frozen pizza???

Don't want to try installing 32GB? The processor supports it on intel official site. Processor Number i5-7360U Max Memory Size (dependent on memory type) 32 GB Memory Types DDR4-2133, LPDDR3-1866, DDR3L-1600
