I personally think it was partly due to Shatterpoint too. People tend to think that SP is only able to find people and places that can alter fate, but im 99% sure that it was originally written differently. From what I remember, SP can actually show you specific weak points on an enemy when you're battling them.

I can't remember where I heard it, but the way the story goes, Jackson refused to take the role of the character unless he had two things. One, a unique lightsabre colour, and two, an awesome and memorable death 😊

I believe his exact words were he would only do it if his character "didn't go out like a punk" 😂 another interesting tid bit, when we say Mace is a bad mofo, thats not us thats Mace himself, rumour has it that "bad mother fucker" was inscribed onto his lightsaber prop 😂 Liam

There is only one sith I know that could overcome Vapaad and what technique he would use. However I won't say it here as to not spoil it if he is in your part II. Also George Lucas confirmed Sidious lost. Episode 3 was his movie so as far as old canon is concerned Mace beat him period he did not throw the fight. Maybe Disney might change that.

@@TheFandomeClips Only hint I will give is that his lightsaber dueling skills are very technical. However that is not the reason he would beat Vapaad. That's all I will say.

When I was a kid I had always thought that the way the film presented the fight it did make it look like sidious threw the fight. Despite that I have always preferred to think Mace won fair and square and I’m happy to see it explained so well. Great video.

Another thing to consider is that the fall outside of that window wouldn't have necessarily been lethal given the building that the Chancellor's office is located in, the Republic Executive Building.

Possible small correction I could be wrong but I think Palestine’s hate and anger being used against him through vaapad was a one time thing.I believe normally it wouldn’t do this but this happened in this case because of maces strong emotions and motivations in the fight, because of the love he had for the republic and because of the anger he had for Sidious because he crippled it.I could be wrong I’m rusty on my legends I’ll admit but this is just my 2 cents amazing video as always!Really love this channel only downside of it is the gap between videos which is worth it because they are extremely high quality especially considering the size of the channel you deserve far more subs my friend. Edit 9:48 are you talking about dooku?Cause if so I’ve always thought the same.

Your half on the money kit kats! When Mace fought Palpatine that was the FIRST time he utilised the loop, which makes his victory even more impressive when you consider he beat the most powerful Sith ever on essentially a test flight. Mace had never needed to create the superconducting before this as he'd always had the edge over darksiders he fought and often overpowered them before charging up......that or he was fighting a sith that could nullify the loop (hint hint) Thanks for watching kit kats and thanks for the kind words! @@TheFandomeClips That sounds right in the rots novel the loop is talked about of course just not explained super much.Also your right about legends lore it is quite contradicting to canon and itself sometimes but still very interesting nonetheless.

At some point Lucas allegedly said that Palpy was throwing the fight, or at least was waiting for Anakin to show up. That may have well been what he intended, but that’s neither what it looks like nor canonically likely. I agree that (mastered) Vaapaad is enough of an advantage to give Mace the win by default-this is exactly what it was made for. Given Sheev’s distaste for lightsaber combat and that the field is an enclosed space (ie, the Senate can’t throw the senate at his adversary this time), all Palpatine could really do is hold on until Anakin shows up and does something impulsive. Either way, Kit Fisto got done dirty. Big F

I've always held the belief that Palps was straight up overcome and the whole feigning weakness and throwing the fight element was AFTER he knew it was hopeless, not a pre planned tactic. @@11bluekitkatsthere's actually a theory that Kit Fisto purposefully threw himself onto Palpatines lightsaber to buy Mace some time and that the few strikes he does block are actually kill shots at Mace. Doesn't look that way in the slightest but would certainly redeem poor kits death a little! Liam

Vapad is basically a continuous positive feedback loop that is fed by the dark side user and reflected back from the Vapad user back towards the dark side user.

Dooku would’ve been the only Sith to possibly beat for Vapad/Mace in a lightsaber duel because he didn’t use his anger and hatred except when needing it for a specific dark side power and he knows of Windus powers so he wouldn’t use any dark side abilities against Windu and is a better duelist most of the time than Windu.

I don't get how you can pretend Rey's killing of Palpatine is any less of an ass pull then Windu doing it when its not as if either movie text support one over the other.....

Windu is a fully trained Jedi master with many years of training and the accolade of been one of the greatest swordsman in the history of the jedi order. He might be the underdog but it still stands to reason he is capable of toe to toeing with Palps and coming out the winner, even without Vapaad. You can infer from his position in the order that he's very powerful and has the years of training under his belt. It doesn't need to be stated outright. Rey is inexperienced, barely trained and is working from second hand knowledge from someone who also never completed their training in Leia. It doesn't make sense she can toe to toe with Palps in any regard, she's still finding her feet as a Jedi 😂 its just bad writing The person who truly defeated Palpatine is and always will be Luke Skywalker in ROTJ. By refusing to fight he denied Palpatine the very thing he wanted and allowed his father to fulfill his role as the chosen one.

Mace windu has an ability called vpod and shatterpoint when combined the longer the battle goes the more the enemies weak spots become visible that's why Mace was able to beat palpatine so easily 🤦 when you understand a jedi's power you will know the why and how Mace Windus power is not hard to understand when they literally tell you how he sees from his advantage Mace Windu sees everything in a broken state in that broken state it shows weak points in ones defense and I haven't even watched the story yet I like to commit on shit that is already known but clearly not known 🤦

With all due respect some people don't understand how Maces form works. We made this video as a part 1 so that when we talk Sith who can overcome the Vapaad in P2 we're all singing from the same songbook and people understand why these Sith can neutralise the looping element to the form! Liam
