The plaintiff says she and the defendant were good friends until her friend attacked her and maced her in the face. She’s suing for emotional distress and the value of a car. The defendant says the plaintiff always tried to fight her. She’s countersuing for emotional distress and pain and suffering.

The fighting was mutual. The defendant should not have gotten pain and suffering granted. The only thing that should have been ruled on was the car. They were both acting a fool.

The plaintiff didn't get pain and suffering. She initiated the fight. The defendant got pain and suffering because she tried to avoid the fight. She shouldn't have went, though.

I’m very disappointed that the defendant’s mom would play a role in all of this instead of teaching her daughters better. At the end it was so childish to see how mom and daughters acted. It’s all funny until it’s not. Someone could have been seriously hurt or injured from this foolishness.

I agree with you and its easier said then done. I have been in a few situations like this in my younger years with a group of chicks trying to fight a cousin or friend over nothing. I was down to fight regardless of the situation. I will never allow anyone to come on my property or anyone I know property to fight. If you coming to fight you better come alone so it can truly be a one on one fight. If not all bets are off and whatever happens is what you asked for. There are no rules in fighting. But real fighters don't need weapons. I don't want to kill you but will absolutely help you understand to not play with us EVER AGAIN.I get the mom having her daughters back no matter what. Sometimes that is the response but the other person may continue to make the situation worse so now your gonna get what your asking for. Your not going to respond to a post and then say 'what you wanna do'. We know what that means. Then you come to her house with your friends knowing it's going to go down. People do need to stop posting stuff on social media. I'm the type of person who wants you to tell me how you feel in a respectful way so we can talk and figure out if we are going to continue being friends. I would never respond to a post or something that was not said directly to me. That's just my feeling about this.

As an older person, I won't pretend that people didn't act like this back in the day. I acted like this minus the mace, guns, knives, bats, and FB. A few other things were different too. For instance, we fought one on one with fists only, Also, we (I and my associates, etc.) stopped doing this at about the age of 12-13. Oh, and adults stopped fights and chastised their children for fighting and even arguing; not joining in with them.

Hear me out, I believe the defendant was talking about the plaintiff on that Facebook post. I don’t condone violence, however people love to post subliminal things and when they are called out, suddenly it’s “that wasn’t even about you” - stop playing in people faces! I actually appreciate the plaintiff for being direct tbh. The family and friend could have simply stayed out of it. At the end of the end day, all parties are childish.

Wait what? You believe the defendant said something subliminal; well if the plaintiff doesn't know it's about her then she should've moved on. The defendant showed evidence that it wasn't about the plaintiff, seems to me; she was just looking for a reason to fight someone and got what she wanted. That's just silly and the plaintiff showed her silliness because she assumed it was about her but her friend said it wasn't about her at all.

Also, the plaintiff said it was about her but the defendant didn't mention her name and even said, ' Hey, this has nothing to do with you, it's about someone else I'm having a problem with'. Again, the plaintiff doesn't know if she was even talking about her so I don't know why she went through all this trouble and a beat down for something that she doesn't know anything about. She just assumed it was about her, maybe they had a argument like the plaintiff said but if you're still friends after that then what was the problem?? Why would she then mention her in a comment when they're cool and still homies?

I am a tech person too and he definitely knew she made those messages up by running it on his laptop 😂 she talked about how creepy he is but she continued living there with him. If she felt so creeped out, she would've moved out immediately. She just mad she owes him for the laptop.

This case should have been dismissed completely. Neither party deserved anything. This ruling was wrong in my opinion. Both were acting like children and neither had the maturity to walk away. But the defendant got what she wanted.
