You've GOT to do a run with this using Organic Skin AND the Corpse Processor as starting civics. The suggestion for what that empire would be is just. Disturbing. Custom portrait might work great there too, though the new aquatic robot fits the bill too. Good reason to try out that bio-mechanical ascension perk, fits the vibe.

Whenever you post something about Stellaris, I can't stop myself from clicking on the notification. Keep up the good work.

When that full playthrough happens I’d like to see a machine empire that becomes as close to organic as possible, obsessively. And hates organic that transcends to cyborgs or machines (roleplay wise). So no machine worlds, maybe Gaia worlds. That and add mainly or even only organic traits to the hybrids. Maybe machine psychics too. Just be robot spiritualists.

My favorite thing this mod does is add an ascension path where you can transform from Machines to Robots, swapping from being a machine intelligence to being a regular empire. EDIT: The World Cracker are fine when you actually think about the math of it. Mining stations have a 1 energy upkeep and average 2-3 minerals base. Which matches up just fine with mining stations.

34:35 is just brutal "Thanks to discontinued slave labor unrest is _dying down"_ As every poor soul that was enslaved is now being stroggified:(

Mod Suggestions: Void Dwellers Expanded - Basically lets you customize habitat districts after the voidbourne ascension perk is picked. Also has some nice features involving habitat starts, so definitely check it out. Starborn: Improved Voidtouched - this mod does a slightly different spin on habitats, allowing expansion megastrucures to be built in the same system as a habitat and it basically adds to the original habitat in that system, mostly useful to minimize micromanagement. Combines spectacularly with the previous void dwellers expanded mod. Masters of the Planet - Main, basically is a mod which adds "arcology-project" like planets for rural resources. So one for farming, trade, energy, mining, etc. Great for planet specialization gameplay. This and Gigastructural engineering are both mods that go in basically every one of my playthroughs. Anyways, love the content xoxo.

I absolutely love this mod!, went in pretty much blind and rp'd out as a race of humanoids that wanted to perserve as much as possible (thus becoming robots themselves to perserve their memories/physical selves) so they set out to "help" other species by "perserving" their past/heritage, went with the civic that let me convert pops once I took over an empire and then kinda went on from there it was an absolute blast

I love seeing you cover mods in your playthroughs. Some more mods I would recommend is Ancient Cache of Technologies, Secrets Beyond the Gates, Acquisition of Technologies, and Zenith of Fallen Empires 3.0 (all meant to be played together for the best experience). The mods add a TON of content to the game, such as new types of technologies, building on the lore behind the Fallen Empires, as well as some really cool megastructures and systems. Seriously recommend checking them out as they are some of the coolest mods I’ve seen for the game. Edit: Secrets Beyond the Gates also adds an EXTREMELY powerful crisis, on a level comparable to Blokkats, or even more powerful. I would also recommend the Universal Resource patch, so you can see the other strategic resources the mods bring, as well as a mod that as a few more ascension perk slots.

I’ve been using this mod for a while now. It feels so polished that it could be integrated into Synthetic Dawn as-is!

I just add every mod this channel brings up onto a list. That hive-mind one combined with this will be interesting.

Love this mod. World Machines are really strong with the new way pop growth works. Especially with a low ceiling. They take ages to build which is the only downside aside from not getting pop job bonuses. Other than that, building leaders is extremely broken. Strong leaders can make a massive difference. Not being bound by rng also saves you a ton of time as they are built instantly, as long as you have the cash to do so. I am not a fan of the source code reprogramming or the one that adds or removes gestalt. Its a waste of a slot in my mind, but completely unique and invaluable for role playing purposes.

Being a starting stellaris modder myself, seeing this both inspires and terrifies me. My god the background data and other integrations for stuff so the game AI can use that stuff would probably take up about half of the total file size.

This looks like a good mod, i'll definitely be giving it a look. I like the look of the Corpse assimilator civic, basically necroids but machines. I wonder how that one will pair with determined exterminator. (since Necrophage doesn't work with Devouring swarm, though it doesn't tell you that in game)

I'd like to see a playthrough focusing on the automated worlds.

For your full playthrough, maybe you can find a way to become those psy-borgs you wanted so much.

2:03 oh, there is most definitely a difference between the mechanical heritage world and the machine world: the mech. heritage world's districts give +1% output of either food (yes you can have food districts there), minerals, energy, *specialists* (industrial) or *rulers* (city). they are more powerful than both the machine world and the ecumenopolis. On another note: I started with the heritage start, and took the bio-machine ascension perk and found out that I could have (in the mid-game) Intelligent, Logic machines, natural engineers, thrifty (for +20% output to consumer goods production; it was changed), and finally enhanced cooling (for +20% extra alloy production from jobs). I absolutely dominated that play-through from all of the stacking modifiers. Yes, I had to take a +30% to pop upkeep to get enough points (at first) with a robotic age ascension perk but it was worth it.

"This is the last stellaris PT i'm recording..." Heart skips a beat. "Before Christmas" - ok, ok, no need to call an ambulance, put down the phone...

I think the abyss is quite literally the shroud, but because the machines don't reallu know what psionics are, they just call it the Abyss because it's a word which seems to fit, it being an infinte expanse you essentially fall into.

the planet cracker one looks like it would be really fun to play with gigastructures, you will have to stop and think which planets to crack, you wont want to crack asteroids cuz you need them for asteroid artillery and small barrens are needed for attack moons, im looking forward to the challenge this presents
