Refina power float 2nd try floating in the cement render with the plastic and sponge float attachment on the Refina Eibenstock Cordless Power Float I think this try has been a massive success this is hot weather and my render s drying fast faster than the 1st try with the cold weather and slow drying times. This tools has floated and sponge finished a wall that I might not have been able to do as I had allowed it to dry much more than i would have and the power float was able to rub the render in very well and feeling much more confident in the sponge and it shows in the finish I also give a nice light rub with the sponge float from refina to just tidy up and finish of the sand and cement render what is your tohughts guys on this video on the power float tool itself on this video compared to my 1st try with the tool on if you want to try this power float or thinking of buying one ?

Great tool for rubbing up machine applied bag render, good seeing a lad show the hole job not just the nice shots, not one of us perfect, tricky when the sun beats on half your wall let alone over years old brick and old concrete cappings, everything sucking the life out of the render , turned out well man 👍🏻

Considering you said you were still getting used to it the finish looks incredibly well (even without knowing you were getting used to it- it looks great!). It looks like it could be somewhat unweildly but no doubt, on large projects it could be a real godsend Hope you and the family are all well and having a good week so far! :D

I would like to give it a go with the power float just to try new ways.im so used to the orthodox float and sponge method that it would really want to be good if I was to buy it.then it might be easier to use if u had less experience

Good video think I'll stick with a hand float. Probably needs some getting used to. Like you say don't use it if it's to wet properly send it all over the place , 1 hour to float it and 16 hours to clean it off the car and house, lol🤣
@macplastering
@macplastering 3 жыл бұрын
Haha would be a mess if it did that spraying it everywhere LOL but no mate it wont go that quick my 1st go was on wet walls I should let them go but the cold was holding them back way to much but when the sun is on it it was lovely working it in with the powerfloat :)

Did you find it any quicker, or dose it vibrate to much when holding, thanks
@macplastering
@macplastering 3 жыл бұрын
It did vibrate once or twice but I think that was more me getting used to it as for by the end of the video I felt much better with it and very confident with the sponge , I think it was faster as it was very dry and drying fast so hand tools might have struggled so would have to say this was a faster way of going for this weather and type of all

@macplastering
@macplastering 3 жыл бұрын
You could finish it with the songe float but I think it looks a little cleaner with a tidy up by hand and takes no time really, the sponge float I am using here is refina click clack very good - amzn.to/3agqtF7 with a fine sponge attached the rambootools one is good also have used it on other and older videos have a good few refina floats still to get tested :)

Hi Mac,, great piece of equipment for you as you carry out big jobs, do you just clean sponge with water after use ? Great job on the wall, lovely finish 👍👍
@macplastering
@macplastering 3 жыл бұрын
Yea the sponge seems to clean easy a lot easier than i 1st thought it would , I also when storing try to keep it on top of anything as dont want it going out of shape , the sponge attachment is much easier to get on and of the plastic blade / float attachment is a little difficult to remove also its easy enough to clean , I finish the wall at the end of the video just a light rub down with a sponge float

@@alancarroll5832 Hi Alan mate I am lucky as have the collomix drill that also has 2 bats so I have 4 bats for it as they all fit each other but the one battery did these 3 walls the 4th that was patched in was just hand tools as didn't want to destroy the sponge on the joint if that makes sense and they charge quick has battery indicator red to green

Why do you keep stopping every few seconds? Is it to rest your arms because it is heavy? I saw your previous video where you got on it too wet. Looks like it's working a lot better here when the render is more dry. I'm thinking of getting one. Where did you buy it from?

This one is from refina mate , I think I was hitting it the odd time off be mistake still getting used to it also to have a look make sure it is coming in well witch it was also I think i was jumping up and down of crate so some safety so it wont catch anything while spinning Hope this make sense :) Thanks for watching buddy have more of these to come for sure :)
