When Kamala is going through the boxes and finds her old Captain America comic did you notice the Girl Scout baldric and all of the badges on it? She's an accomplished young woman.

For defense of the Mom not trusting her, Kamala did just smash their car in a DRIVING TEST. I saw in the videos that the directors of this show as inspired by the style of Into the Spider-verse movie. They wanted to do a live action of the same style. None of the characters are stereotypical in anyway. Did you both notice that there wasn't any villains in this episode? I know people don't like her new powers. BUT the Original CAPTAIN MARVEL (1967) used magic bracelets for his powers.

So the actor who plays Bruno was actually in the Walking Dead, so his line about her terrible zombie impersonation was a low-key nod to that.

Show! Don't Tell! That is the key to character-driven storytelling and that is what Marvel does well.

Kamala bringing up the podcast was really cool and hilarious, because I was curious as to where her knowledge & love for Captain Marvel came from, (Also she comes from a long line of unrealistic fantasizers).

Ooo! Great reaction! Great first episode! I love, love Kamala's energy in this. She's like that starry eyed, hopeful kid we all were back in the day hahaha, fantasizing about superheros (or in my case sci-fi and fantasy stuff). You know, you dont really appreciate great acting until you see bad acting, but the life she brings to that character is really truthful and believable even though, in my perspective, this is for like a bit of a younger generation. Im hooked! Btw, what the hell is that antman head made of? Reinforced concrete? That thing went through a brick wall lmao. Antman and the raiders of the lost ark lol oh p.s. Im not Pakistani, but I am Muslim and though it's REALLY exaggerated, they got the homelife down lol. Like her older brother is basically a less nerdy stereotype of me with a huge beard hahahaha

My theory: This will end up being a Teen Wolf situation, where it is revealed her mother has powers of her own, but something happened in the past that made her denounce them. And her Grandma definitely had powers and used them for good, which could've damaged the relationship to Kamala's Mom. She packed four boxes of different dishes perfectly for Bruno in less than 15 seconds - no way she could do that without some kind of powers.

I think that the DODC (ie Deevers & Cleary) will find the gloves and track them back to Bruno.

I think that Bruno is going to wind up being Kamala's "man in the chair."

Now that you guys mentioned it, I do think it would be really cool if her bracelet had some kind of connection to Shang-Gi's Ten Rings and that was their way of starting to interweave MCU storylines. This episode really pleasantly surprised me and I am already excited to see the next episode. I agree that there was not 1 moment where I dozed off or it lost me. But, the show left me feeling very hungry, LOL!

And now I come to see you two more than to see what people think of the show.

As a fan of the comic since issue 1 (got it the day it dropped!), there's a lot more to discover about Zoe as a person, she starts off as the stereotypical mean girl but there's a lot more to her. I hope her brother Aamir gets more screen time, too, he's hilarious in the comic.

I can tell you guys haven't seen 'Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers' movie that just dropped recently, when you mentioned Paul Rudd probably being up for doing a podcast. I highly recommend you watch it.

so, you have to be able to think through another's eyes..........the person going through Europe to discover herself........you see this as acceptable.......THAT COMMUNITY does NOT personally, i see it as both.....it all depends upon the community you are trying to be accepted by if your choice is one thing, but then you change your mind, perfectly fine......but you have to realize that others in that community will not see things the same way try to see both sides neither is wrong and neither is right
