This show blew me away in its first episode, when I didn't even think I'd like it. And now I can't wait for next week. Iman IS Kamala, and the music, and the family dynamic, and obviously the SFX... I am now holding this show to a higher standard than most D+ MCU shows. 9.5/10.

Iman was born to play Kamala. She's so good. I'm loving the show so far. I agree that Kamala's grandmother is a dreamer like her. I think they are trying to hint that the bangle originated somewhere in the grandmother's family line. Probably a Kree artifact of some kind. Maybe her grandmother is Kree?! That would be a twist. We'll find out soon enough. I'm excited to see what she can do with her powers. They are very different, but I think she is still stretching and embiggening under that cosmic energy. I went through a couple of the trailers and looked at frames where she's using her powers, and it definitely looks like there are physical changes happening to her body. We'll get a better look as the episodes go on. Also, I don't know if you noticed who that was in the end credit scene. They are Damage Control agents. The male agent is the same one from Spiderman: Now Way Home. Agent Cleary. He was the one who interrogated Peter and Ned at the beginning of the movie. I'm interested to see what part they play in the story. I can't wait for next weeks episode. Great reaction as always.

I am digging this show so much, but nobody mentioned that when Kamala was showing what Carol might have been up to, it had an animation of Carol Danvers doing Fight Club.

This show was a breath of fresh air. Fun and upbeat, though down to earth.

The cockatiel in the animation at the start was probably a reference to The Inventor, who was Kamala’s first supervillain in the comics. He was a clone of Thomas Edison with a cockatiel’s head. Seriously.

It is sad that people felt the need to review bomb the show on Imdb like they did to Captain Marvel. I hope The Marvels film takes shots at the toxic fans.

In the animation sequence in Kamala's recreation of End Game, the cockateel is an easter egg of Ms. Marvel's 1st villain that she deals with in the comics. A guy with the head of that bird.

It's probably just a coincidence, but Kamala and Meimei asking their parents to go to a concert/convention look very similar. Nothing wrong with that, but I figure this must be a common situation for second generation children growing up in a land their parents didn't. Both Kamala and Meimei's parents (mother's really) seem to be afraid that their daughters are becoming too "western" and as a result they become overbearing, pushing their respective child away. 19:19 I thought it was supposed to be Ant-thony, but maybe it was a Meek mask. I really enjoyed this first episode. I hope it's able to keep up the same energy all the way through. It's hard to believe that this is Iman Vellani's debut role! She's a natural and very likable. Can't wait until next week. I need my Star Wars and Ms. Marvel fix, lol.

All the moving animations and texts on the walls took me right out of this show for the first time of any mcu property. Not a fan!
