My second video on macro photography takes us to Kathleen McArthur Conservation Reserve at Lake Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast. The wildflowers are out and I had a few great visits to share and demonstrate how I shoot macro in nature. Thank you! A few years ago, i finally went Digital and love macro and close-up. I found your video very helpful. the days of film we weren't able to change film speed and you got it right the first time or tried to repeat. digital is like having several rolls of film in Camera. So, I am learning yet new habits. Once again thank you!

Lovely stuff! The hand held work looks more natural. I guessed the 'zone system' was dead, but here you are adjusting for white! These days a bit of zebra and constant preview work for me. My own shadow and clothing inadvertently change things. Neutral color clothing is less likely to effect the out come. Forwarded this to my wife, so she doesn't have to hear me drone on! Thanks Chris

I have found a tripod extremely useful for shooting bugs on flowers. Choose a flower. Point camera. wait. I got consecutive shots of bees walking around flowers.

Hi Jack, sorry to take so long to reply. Truth is I don't know and I don't have a remote cable to test it out. I do have a suggestion though. For the projects where you are using the remote, you might consider keeping AF assigned to the back button, but also enabling it on the front button as well. That way you can use BBF while setting up a shot, but use the cable release to focus in the last instant as you shoot. Just a thought, it's pretty easy to enable AF temporarily.

I was when I made this video... I still have my Pentax although I do most of my photography on the Lumix G9 these days. I use my Pentax K3ii to video what I am doing on the other camera.
