A bit miffed I didn't get invited to the official opening , my invitation must have got lost in the post , however , the final stage of the Macroom bypass is now open and the drive on the final stage was well worth the wait . The weather was typically wet but I managed to squeeze in some footage before dark. Well done to all the JONS Civil crew . The road looks great

Fantastic job of documenting the process of the bypass build. Thanks you so much. I feel very proud that Macroom is now on the map for the right reasons and not just a bottle neck but a beautiful town we can all enjoy again. Looking forward to going to Tralee on this engineering experience on Wednesday.

Well done I have seen all ur videos from the macroom by pass I'm a trucker and to take detours while that job was going on what a relief to c it finished 👍tipperary

I traveled it yesterday. So much safer and easier to drive than the old road.

They'll have to build a new road somewhere just for you to take drone footage of :D Seriously though, thanks for all the awesome videos, watching the progress on this and Dunkettle has been awesome. Next time I'm in Cork I will find that bridge through the deep cut just to see the incredible view.

Fantastic videos on this. Does anyone else have an issue with the design of these new Dual Carriageways (This one, and the new N5 to Westport in Mayo). No hard shoulders and many of the roads entering the Dual Carriageway without any merging lanes? It seems absolutely crazy, and in driving the new N5 every day here, I have already seen 3 accidents with cars merging, and several near misses. It just seems absolutely crazy to me, but maybe its just me that thinks this???

The roads joining the road are junctions - not merging roads. There are stop signs so people joining need to stop and wait until it is safe to proceed. I presume they designed the roads this way to make it less likely of accidents.
