I'm so glad anime existed. Never fails to distract me from the negativity of the environment I'm in right now. It makes me forget the negative thoughts building up inside me; at least temporarily. But that short time keeps me sane, track myself and think. So thankful I discovered this long before. I enjoyed it during my best times and appreciate this during my down times.

No matter how many times I came back here, no matter what year I always came here, the old good memories made me in tear. Ahhhhh I've never been as hurt by any anime ending as much as in this one, every single anime out there almost, always ends with a satisfying ending even after all the struggles, but oh Lord this one stays grounded to reality and teaches us that not everything our heart wants is always what is given to us in the end. The guy literally is so unhappy and regretful with his current life and still yearns for the girl whom he has shared priceless memories, who ironically is already happy with her current life has obviously moved on from "those memories" which is what makes it even more so painful to watch. I'm hurt but definitely the movie is just undeniably one of a kind, truly a masterpiece even though it broke my heart in the end.

By watching this anime I came to the conclusion that it's the bitter truth of life.

I'm still remember back at days on 2013, while I search movie "5 Cm" from my country, then I found this anime, and I download it. Back then, I don't know at all about Japan animation, so I guess this is really wrong download. But, I ended up watching it, and feels amazing with the art and the story is so sad. After that I re-watch it for so many times and got my heart broken so many times.... And I'm also watch many anime from that time, but this movie always have special place on my heart. Now in 2020, I'm still attached to this movie, while in reality I'm also three times got involved with long distance relationship, and all of them ended with broken heart for me... __ p.s sorry if my English is bad.

Anime's are like therapies to get away from harsh reality. But don't escape every time you are in a tight situation but rather use the learnings and encouragement that animes give you to overcome such situation.

This AMV will never die. It has shaped a huge part of my heart. Just like how it makes me feel painful about my relationships that didn't work out, it somehow oddly gives me the comfort to go on by myself as well, because that's also what the characters in the show do (except Takaki haha). The divorce abruptly came in late 2019 and gutted me. Was forced to sell the home and only see the kids on the weekends. My job went to furlough because of bankruptcy the next month and then Covid hit. It was was very dark times. The thought of ending it came several times. But the thought of my children pulled me through it. I did several things to help keep my sanity. Returning to anime helped me. Anime songs like this helped me. I was an OG fan back in the day of anime but getting married and having kids pretty much had me dropping off things I used to love including anime. It’s strange and comforting the things I used to love when I was single helped pull back from the brink.

This just doubles up my sad meters. It's also currently 3:06 AM. Ahhh, why am I always watching the saddest or weirdest stuff around this time? Anyways, good memories.

I saw this masterpiece 9 months before Your Name came out and I cried tears of sadness. I really wanted to hug him so bad and telling him all will be well. So when Your Name came out and unexpectedly gave me that ‘ending scene’, I felt chills ran through me and cried tears of joy. I felt so warm and happy inside. ❤
