I don't know I gotta feel like it's a quick easy way to make some views over a video game that he's not going to promote, never has promoted, and will never promote. So in a sense he's going to make a review about something he knows is going to suck in advance every single year. just to get some easy views. and put some money in the bank. I call that being lazy for being a KZfaqr personally. And that says a lot because I used to like his older content when it came to Madden. But when it comes out every single year, he brings us the same crap, it's like "we already know the game is going to suck you don't have to keep telling us each year".

youre right, he was a consultant up until 2012 i believe, He has outright stopped supporting the game around 2010, he used to mentioned it in the early 2000's once ea got the nfl rights in 2006 and any other football games that did come out didnt do well financially (due to shady marketing by ea) they started phoning it in around 2014, i was a madden online player until i noticed it wasnt about skill it was about how many cheat codes you have and how may packs you got (this was from 2011-2012) and i heard it got even worse with punters playing qb and scoring 50pts on ppl youre right this is extremely shady and shitty for ea as joe said they are also putting things in the game that madden was against

Madden took issue with the original Madden NFL games in the early 90s. They didn't even have the right number of players on the field. That's why Madden actually got involved in consulting for the game. It got much better in the 2000s, and started to really suck again once we got to the PS4 Xbox One generation.

I don't even play Madden but even *I* see EA isn't even trying. Just continuing the cycle of taking out features in order to rebrand them as something new in a later game and charging $60-$70 for what is in essence a roster update.

@@RodneyThomas well Sony had their state of play recently. It mainly focused on VR though. But this Thursday we will have more of a show case of upcoming games and 2K games is supposed to be there. We haven’t heard anything about the new 2k “Arcade” game since March 2020.

They own exclusive rights to simulation football, but their entire focus is on their arcade modes...

Why would you immediately think it's exploitation after just seeing that John Madden is on this year's cover? It makes complete and total sense to feature his likeness on the cover in tribute.. Just the choice of putting him on the cover is in no way at all "exploiting the desth of Madden" as you put it. Literally anybody would agree with that..

I mean the nfl sells the likeness to ea for like 500mil to a billion dollars lol. They could absolutely careless what they do with it as long as they keep renewing that contract as sad as it is.
