What a great review Marcus ! Love your HONEST unbiased thoughts on this book bro. Despite its flaws, this run means so much to me. One of my favorite runs on venom. A very triumphant run, the emotions, the decisions, the questioning of if eddie is bad guy or not, love it. Donny created a winning run for me !

I absolutely agree that it sucks how basically everything has to either be the best or worst things ever. A lot of my opinions on comics tend to fall somewhere along the lines of "yeah i really enjoyed it." However, with this specific book, I gotta say that for me, it's the best thing ever. I could spend hours explaining why, but Venom by Donny Cates just clicks with me like no other comic does. It's got the hype and it's got the emotion, I just absolutely adore this series. It's the comic I go back to everytime I need reminding why comics are so awesome.

Would love to see you do a list of your best reads from the previous year. Love your takes. Keep killing it!

I just finished this Omnibus and loved it. Tbh Dylan got on my nerves a bit at times, but he was integral to the story. IMHO Dylan is how Eddie when from anti-hero to true hero and that was this whole arc for me. Also you see a ton of cool symbiote stuff. Symbiote dragons, dinosaurs and heroes. I just started reading the first volume of Dylan Brock Venom by Ewing & co. and I am excited.

Like yourself really loved the majority of Cates Venom. Although whilst the beginning of Absolute Carnage started strong and especially appreciated the horror vibe to me the event felt rushed especially the ending. Cannot argue with Ryan Stegman's art though. Definitely improved as a artist since I saw him on Scarlet Spider. Agree with your thoughts exactly. Despite the few flaws still a top tier Venom run imo. Saying that haven't read the last OHC and KIB yet. Will get on that in the next few months(currently reading Wells Spider-Man, kinda surprised I enjoyed the Tombstone arc so much especially Romitas art. Unpopular opinion considering how many people hate it. But the issue 900 so far is really a slog. Probably the worst anniversary issue personally. So dunno how I feel about his run so far ha ha)😄
