This hits home for me and what I'm currently dealing with. Found out spouse been cheating on me for 14 of my 21 years of marriage. I thought I could fix it or understand why but I fooled myself. I've come to understand you have to own up to your mistakes in order to change. Common sense for me but not always for others. When you try to do everything they ask and then one day you come home to a note..you just gotta accept. I been married since I was 24 and have no idea of single life or what to expect. I know I'm nervous, scared and trying to come to terms. I wanna think but I can't focus so I keep listening to this to help accept.

me and my boyfriend recently broke up. I found he was cheating on me with his ex girlfriend. It really does hurt when you give all your love to someone and they don’t even love you back. But I’m proud of myself because it’s been 4 days since we talked and I haven’t messaged him. The old me would have been begging everyday and messaging him constantly. But I’ve learned that if someone hurts you and you still communicate with them, then they’ll keep hurting you again and again because they know no matter what, you’re not gonna leave and they can get you back whenever they want because they know that you love them that much. I've met a lot of people in my life, made a lot of friends and lost a lot of friends; but I've got my best friend who's been by my side since preschool. She's my root. We've been through everything together, and even when it feels like she'd rather choose someone else over me? She proves me wrong and chooses me. I love my best friend, with everything I've got and more. I'd give up anything for her because she deserves the world! She can be rude, she can be annoying, she can be pretty dumb, but she's my best friend and I love her. I wouldn't make it without her. She's my root, the only one I'll ever need. Hearing this truth really helps me see I did the right thing. I lived in an abusive relationship my husband, then I realized that I was the only one who could control her own path I finally said goodbye, I focused on me and being the best mother to our three children. He came back to ask for forgiveness from us because he was sick he passed a year later. I became a stronger woman for our children who needed me even more. RIP R.

It's Valentine's day....woke up feeling alone then came across this video. Don't ignore the signs the universe is trying to give you. This helped me so much.

This is the speech that made me strong enough to walk away from my toxic relationship. I remember just watching this over and over, crying, but feeling stronger after. The words, “if they wanna walk-let them go” sounded almost like an anthem I sang every minute until I found myself free from the mental imprisonment my ex brought upon my life. She was a cheater, compulsive liar, and made you seem like you were the crazy one. I was so unhappy in that relationship. You know the one where you’re giving and giving and never receiving? That was 4 years ago. Now I’m rewatching this video in a different light. I am in the most healthiest relationships I’ve ever been, I found the one. I graduated college, I exercise everyday, I’m getting closer to my family, I see my future more clearer now, I stopped excessively drinking/smoking. When you leave a toxic relationship, all those toxic behaviors they laid upon you leave too. If you’re reading this and are in a toxic relationship, time will come for you too- one day you’ll grow legs and feet and run far far away from your toxic relationship.

I had a root person in my life. I loved him with everything I had. I wanted to grow old him. Unfortunately, after 6 years together, he had a real bad asthma attack and died. I lost my root at 23 yrs old. The 18th of this month will be 20 yrs since I lost him and I haven't found another root. But this tree is still standing strong, no matter how many "tornadoes" have come my way. I have lost my brother/best friend, my husband, and my son. But this tree IS STILL STANDING STRONG!
