I'm so glad I came across your interview with Scott. You are an inspiration and hopefully the energy I need to pursue my career in Azure. I have a few AWS and Azure certs but I've not done a lot with either. I'm planning on setting up a Azure environment, just need to make sure I don't spend a lot or forget to remove resources. This was an awesome video! Spent all morning Googling how I can start integrating function apps with Key Vault. Up and running in 10 mins! Also helped me harden some of our existing functions.

Very nice tutorial this really helped to setup a key vault and store my secret stuff present in localsettings.json just a small doubt "I'm using azure functions with azure SQL DB I have my connection string in localsettings.json can I add connection string in the similar fashion as shown in the video" tutorial please let me know and loads of thanks to the best content.

Turn up your volume and see what you can do, if anything, about leveling your audio level so that it's not quiet and then loud a few seconds later with your voice level changes.

Yes, absolutely, keyvault is used a lot for that as well.

Hi there, I just put the values in the local.settings.json file, key-value pair, I don't think there is a way to develop with key-vault values locally at the moment, at least not that I know of.

@@MadeByGPS Thank you for the response. One additional info that I read about the key version is that: if you omit the guid from the secret uri (@Microsoft.KeyVault....../firstname/), it should bring the latest version of the key.

Hi yes you can. After saw the video of Gwyneth I search another one and I found this one: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/l5donKpmld6vlGw.html , basically you need to create application in your Azure AD. By the way Thanks for the video Gwyneth .

how to connect to azure key vault when we are doing local testing? Locally hosted function doesn't have service principal :S

It’s beyond me that two years on, you still have to pass the serial number in a keyvault url. Why? That name is unique and so just fetch the latest version. But Microsoft for some reason doesn’t do that. This morning we deployed an encrypted ADF instance and I was like: “surely they fixed it by now!” Nope! Utterly useless Microsoft is. Same with PIM for SQL access with elevated Riggs. Still not there either.
