i am watching these videos as a student living in amsterdam, and honestly i thought the prices would be more or less similar but i am actually amazed at how much cheaper uk grocery store prices are!! they seem to be much closer to prices in spain (where i'm originally from) - amsterdam is becoming more and more expensive, it's crazy. thank you for your videos, they're great inspiration - and love the actual effort you put into making veganism accessible and show how it can be affordable :)

Your recipes throughout Veganuary have been inspiring! Sometimes reduced veg and herbs go black and mushy if we don't use them quickly so I have learned that taking them out of the packaging and putting them into brown paper bags in the fridge makes them last much longer and reduces food waste. Last year I bought 200 brown paper bags on amazon and paid less than £5.00 and still have loads left. Love your creativity with food, some of your recipes have been tried and tested and have gone down a treat here. 😋

You can regrow your bunch of green onions a few times after cutting off most of the green parts. Just put the white bulbous root ends in a bit of water in a glass or other container thay will hold them upright and put them in a window. Mine are on the windowsill in my kitchen. I change the water daily. The green parts will regrow within days.

Love your content Maddie. At Tesco the special offers used to be available to everyone. The price was automatically cheaper at the till. Now with clubcard prices the special offers are only available when you use your clubcard. Also if you cut the green part off of your spring onions and pop the root part in a glass of water, they'll grow new spring onions. Just sit it on the windowsill and change the water every day 😃

Very jealous of how cheap food is in the UK! I live in New Zealand and I was curious how much this shop would cost me here so I put everything into the grocer app and at Paknsave (our most budget supermarket) this shop would cost $121 NZD which is equivalent to £63.50. So pretty much double what you paid here! And that is with substituting the fresh lemons for a bottle of juice, and not including the cress because you can't get that at the supermarket here.

Loved this! I have a video idea- organic vegan food on a budget? I eat completely organic but am also have a strict budget, so this would be really helpful. It may also inspire different types of recipes as there is sometimes quite a limited selection of organic food, and many things are not in stock. Would be interesting to see what sort of meals you could create! 😀

I cant believe the prices you paid for your groceries. Here in the US (North), we are paying so much more even for things on sale. I hate going food shopping now because I anticipate the cost! Thanks for showing us your grocery shopping trip and all the prices. Love your videos.

I live in Tennessee, the cost of living is supposed to be lower here compared to other states. Our 1 gal of milk is over $4 now and 18 eggs is $5.60 🤢🤢😳😳 Will things go down at all someday??!!!

Always enjoy your videos! In a future video how about some lower oxalate meals…..I had a kidney stone last year and my doctor wants me to reduce my oxalate consumption…..trying to maintain my mainly plant based diet as best as I can.

Omg the prices drives me insane ! The brussel sprouts, organic, were 11€ /kg sunday, and this little box of cress is around 4€ in France... You looked beautiful wearing this lipstick and also looking stunning in casual mode ❤ These videos are my faves !

Can’t believe you got all that for such a low price. Here in Canada it’s been so expensive. I mostly just buy frozen veggies now & stock up when there’s a sale. We’ve had to cut back on alot of our favourites & switched to store brands.

We are in Nova Scotia, I agree, would be easily $200 or more for this grocery shop.

I’m always shocked at the packaging in the produce sections at other grocery stores around the world. I’m in the US and I shop at Winco and you can get almost any produce item not in plastic packaging. So it’s kind of a culture shock to see all the plastic!😂

Watching from the US 👀👀👀 Those prices were wild to me. I know it will be slightly different with conversion but those prices WERE SO LOW !! I work for Walmart and even taking price per pound items in mind, I would probably still pay three times that amount for the same items 😭😭😭
