I learned about sign babbling during my linguistics degree but it’s amazing to see in real life. If you watch her when she’s with her Dad, it’s especially prominent. Bilingual children (raised in 2 x 1st language homes) learn early which language to use with which person. She knows she can use spoken English with her Mam so is less likely to use ASL with her Mam. But she knows she must sign with her Dad. Amazing.

I love watching your vlogs. I learned to sign years ago for the two deaf children I was babysitting while their mom worked nights and they were so excited about that and so was I. It's a beautiful language, you have a wonderful life and I wish only the very best for both of you and beautiful little Madison. God Bless you all!
