When I bought this album in 2000 I thought that "Impressive Instant" and "Paradise (Not for Me)" should have been singles. Two amazing pearls from one of her best albums that have put Madonna in the lead as usual. She's always one step forward and this album is a MASTERPIECE.

That intro drives me nuts! in a good way.

How can it sound timeless and at the same time so modern?

Listen to pop music nowadays and tell me if Music and Confessions on a Dance Floor were not the most thoroughly accurate anticipation of what was to come? Did she foresee the trends? Did she help strengthen them in the long run? Hard to say, cuz' these did take a few more years to sink into the mainstream even after Madge proved this kind of music to be commercially viable. Anyway, love Music, even more than I do Ray of Light! Genius pop! Fun, uplifting, with just the right amount of commercial accessibility, experimental daringness and emotional depth.

The song even has the guts to split off into a weird vocoderized riff where M croons in cyborg English that she likes to “singy singy singy / like a bird / on a wingy wingy wingy” Turns out that “dizzy and daffy” is what it feels like for a girl.

One of the best Madonna songs EVER!!! I really hope she will make this kind of music again. Music with a lot of 'fun' in it. The new Madonna songs are so serious and so hiphop R&B type of songs. I love sampled vocals, bleepy sounds, lots of synths and vocoders. Madonna can sing live, she doesn't have to prove her vocal anymore. Just throw it in the sample box and play with it on the keyboard.
