The reason Madonna turned out to be the biggest name in the music industry is because she stayed TRUE TO HERSELF. She doesn’t CARE what negative criticism she receives from the press or fans. She lived her life and did only what ever made her happy. And is very intelligent and SMART when it comes to THE MONEY.

It's a shame when anyone's parent dies, but I do believe that it's because of that, that Madonna went onto achieve everything she has today. She's said several times over that she'd probably be quite different if her mother had lived. Madonna has a steel exterior which has taken her so far, but you can see that she also has pain and a longing for love and, again, I think that comes from the death of her mother.

I've watched a few madonna interviews over the last few days. I have grown to respect her tremendously. I know business very well and I do not respect celebrities because they capitalize on perpetuating the disempowerment of the masses, but this is a woman who IS NOT PERFECT, but has sincerely done more to improve the world than most and though she's played by the rules of the business, she's used her position to truly change the world and though I would have made different choices, overall I find myself somewhat impressed by her.

I think her intelligence is underrated especially since she’s labeled as a pop star and of course she is. It might have something to do with her era or her intelligence but IMO she’s head and shoulders more creative and lovable than the countless number of pop stars that ripped her off years later. I don’t like her music but I rlly like her. But I also have the biggest crush ever on her so I might be biased.

She was so relatable and likable for a few years during this period. She never really has been interested in approval, as she says here, but it's frustrating to admire Madonna's career and to so often find her off putting or aloof or humorless. The woman in conversation here seems so grounded and self-reflective, totally different than the Madonna of today and early in her career, who seems to be all about 'causing a commotion.'

@@rgrndu I thought the MTV performance was a result of a wardrobe malfunction? She kicks off her shoes before getting off of the wedding cake, and rolls on the ground to pick them up (we are discussing the 1984 Like a Virgin performance right--)
@TaskForce-nr7sd3 жыл бұрын
@@sandfire1255 At the '84 MTV VMA, she deliberately kicks off both pumps in order to safely climb down the fake cake. Once on the ground, she locates both shoes and puts them back on. I think at the last minute she realized the life-sized wedding cake was too steep and dangerous for heels/pumps. Rolling around on stage with dress up, panties/garter tops showing, humping the stage 'in heat', was no accident...it was a brilliant move to set her apart from everyone else. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ndGDq8t4mcnGgKM.html
