@metalmacabre9991
@metalmacabre9991 6 күн бұрын
@@joelbny death metal is fast, and the lyrics are typically about the harsh realities of life, death, suffering, the occult. Doom metal is slow and sludgy it's heavier in a sense because it's concentrated, like I said very slow, and sludgy lots of power chords, are used In both but in doom metal they sustain longer becomes it's slow. Black Sabbath is a great example of doom metal. They are the first metal band, but when you break it down they fall right into the sub genre which is doom metal. I hope that explains it. Thanks for not being rude or anything because I'm not the typical fan. If you'd like I can give you the names of some bands from both sub- genres.

@@yeezus4pres - Taylor has put songwriting at the forefront of modern pop music in a way no other artist has managed in history, and we've watched that influence new crops of songwriters for the better part of a decade now (at least). So many pop girls are writing their own music these days, something practically unheard of in 1999. That alone should give you hope for pop music's immediate future. You should listen to more than an artist's singles and watch at least a couple longer interviews before you decide they're some ill omen of pop music's future.

I have nothing but the deepest affection and love and admiration for Madonna. I am 33 years old and it is only now, after reading an article, that I realize, what a great form of art her work is. It touches me like no other music, it is the dedication, the perfection of the message of the songs and their visualization. No other musician does what she does, she stands in line with the great classical artists like Michelangelo. This dedication to express herself produces pieces, that can stand alone like a painting, with a deeper meaning. -- It is a pity, that John Lennon couldn`t see her, I think he would have been enthusiastic. Her approach resembles Lennon`s, only that she is much more sucessful at reaching her aim, for various reasons. And no wonder McCartney didn`t like her, he was never an artist like Lennon, just a musician.

I'm a historian specializing in the 18th c. and I talk about this all the time! They're not perfect, of course, but specifically Madonna herself? Damn-- the neckline is perfect, size/proportion of the panniers are great, the style of the gown she's wearing is based off of a very specific midcentury French style, and you can tell she's wearing stays/undergarments that give her the proper shape. So much respect for artistic expression when it's obviously backed up by research

The three of them together never once caught their fans during any rehearsal. Madonna and Nikki and Donna were allegedly shaking about it before they took the stage. This is the only time they all caught their fans. You can see the dancer on the left and Madonnas expressions when all three of them threw the fans up and caught them, that’s also why the background dancers start applauding.

Agree, but what made this so revolutionary back in the day was how femme the gay dancers were. She told them to just be themselves and just own it.

The best thing is taking a popular song (and video for the 90s) at an awards show to create an original performance with original costuming and semi reminiscent choreography of the music video amd make a one of a kind performance. This wasn't recreated. This was original. And that is what makes Madonna part an icon in the last 40 years of music, video, dance, and persona.

Yes! I have enjoyed her since 1985. Madonna has influenced so many music artists even today. The fun of Madonna’s career has always remained unpredictable performances live on stage and music choices for her to explore . She represents and inspires people that appreciate her all over the world. Love her or hate her ... the woman is a force to be reckoned with. The media has for years screwed with the truth versus fiction and she’s still here. Nobody can take that from her.

It's incredible how this woman is far away forward her time. The Fans and the Haters don't get her at all. Everybody talking about lip syncing and no one understands what she's doing there. She wanted to do a new Video for Vogue. A live video in one take, without editing. It was the first time someone tried to do that. The performance was used like a "single" for her video collections and. A celebration of MTV and Madonna's Career. That was a perfect performance, but was not meant to be a live show, it was meant to be a dancing painting in form of a live video. That's so fucking crazy and amazing. She was at the highest top of her game.

in the Balls of NYC (where vogueing came from}, lip syncing is what the performers did. The dancing and attire were the attraction. This performance follows that tradition. New outfits for the next themed Ball. Pose the tv show is a look into that scene and era. It is an excellent show. They should be starting a new season soon.

People complaining that she isn't singing live have completely missed the point. In the Ballroom scene NO ONE sings. Madonna lip synching (hence no microphone) to her own tune is both clever, and a tribute to the club culture where Vogueing was born. Trivia : Madonna used the same dress used by Glenn Close in Dangerous Liaisons.

We definitely have zero interest to know who your favorite artists are (surely very, very mediocre acts), given that you think it's somehow important to announce that you are not a fan of Madonna. It's revolting that people think "not being a Madonna fan" is like something to be proud of, when in fact it just reveals their extreme stupidity. Madonna did not create her albums for low-IQ listeners 😂

Madonna's artistic director until approximately 2006 was her brother Christopher. He brought his sister's ideas to absolutely incredible heights with his artistic vision. He was uniquely talented. Madonna's performances have not been the same without him.

Too bad they had their falling out, but that is what happens with family members that work together.. they inevitably end up with hurt feelings and grudges.
