Madre de Deus (Cantiga 422) is one of the songs from the manuscript Cantigas de Santa Maria written in the medieval Galician-Portuguese language during the reign of Alfonso X of Castile El Sabio (1221-1284).

That was lovely. Your performers' use of a vocal style that is forthright and free of excessive wobble or bel canto back-of-the-throat "plumminess" is greatly appreciated, as such a singing style is hardly ever heard from any of today's vocalists specializing in early music. It really rings true to me.
