Hello Steve just noticed this comment, it never popped up ... this was so much fun but massive learning curve for us all ....super chilled beer helps with the heat lol catching cats is awesome you just got to be brave putting your hand in their mouth but its the only way to do it ....

Hello Paul.That plate has unfortunately gone to meet its maker after it blew off the table. At first i though i could save it but sadly it broke into three :-( however it was a great week, great laugh and some real nice fish on the bank. and dilly dilly to you sir :-) 🍺 thanks for the comment, regards Matt

I know the plate! totally gutted the wind blew it of the table and fucked it I thought at first i could fix it but by the time i got home it was in bits inside the box proper gutted😭😭😭😭 the week was fantastic and worth every penny loved it

Thanks Omid J :-) glad you enjoyed it, we always try and film the atmosphere and the feel for the trip, rather than concentrate of rigs or gear to much, at the end of the day it is a holiday and to be enjoyed and your correct two very good mates certainly helps. thank you for your comment. regards Matt

Gromit often appears in the videos you just got to look sometimes but he is usually there somewhere for example if you look at the beginning of this vid hes right behind the plastic chair....22 seconds in :-)

It was a cracking week Sam, with the option to fish either lake just made it more exiting to fish for those cats, and we had plenty of ice to go with those drinks too :-)

Those are the biggest fish I've ever seen. Only once in my life have I seen huge carp like that and it was in Lake Erie. Those are beauties. I can't imagine pulling in those cats. 75 to 80 pound to pull in. Wow. They would pull me in.

It was a fast learning curve as those cats were quick off the mark and knew exactly what to do to get rid of your rigs and they were bleeding good at it too... but as the week went by we figured it out and started to bring them in more often and we started to gain the upper hand "What a week" :-)

Maff T UK I love my 80’s hair metal as much as my fishing, and that sample is from a track by Faster pussycat called Babylon!! Haa ha! After watching your vid I had to listen to there album and I can’t get it out of my bloody head now! Great to see videos that have a bit of humour and fun and not all rig clinics and endless clips of fish! Normal blokes fishing and enjoying the week away! Spot on Mate🤘

You would very much get on with Andy whom donned a very large blond white snake hair cut during the glory days and is also very into 80s metal, hence having that one in his phone...clearly i don't have a clue LOL... Im glad you like the videos and you nailed it, hardly a rig to be seen and its about having some good old traditional fun in the video I always try to inject some form of humour as we really don't take ourselves too serious. Thanks again for the great comment Neil, I shall inform Andy his choice of music did not go unnoticed. Matt 🤘

Good on ya and well done on the catfish, really enjoyed this video maff but come on boys loose the gloves, another little tip for you if your pulling them out by hand just give them a little tap on the head and if they don't swim away there ready for grabbing

I know what you mean there's 2 snags in our lake and they head straight for them if you give them have the chance, that manderin catfish was a beauti. Hoping to get up bluebell on Swan Lake this year if I get the chance for the catfish if not it'll be next year so if I get lucky I'll let you know what the crack is as I'm sure you asked about there in your catfish rig video, all the best and look forward to the next video

Cheers Paul, The Carpking crew are currently debating with us a 2020 trip so that should be interesting. was a great trip this one and those cat fish were fun and knew how to rid your rigs if you were not on top of your rods ......

Thanks Chris for the comment, Couldn't agree more, I have two wonderful life jackets i take with me around the UK but to be totally honest didn't even know the boat was there so this was one occasion We got caught with our pants down. There is no life jacket rule for the lakes here and they are not supplied that is down to the individuals discretion or stupidity or lack of forethought ... (I prefer the later in this case) regards Matt (PS i knew i would get some for that subject and ill have to take the blow to the chin LOL)

Hi there you should definitely try etang de calieaux theres cat fish in there up to 140lb and carp up 55lb and sturgeon up 50 60 lb very good price aswell 180 euro for the week drive and survive he has 2 lakes and you can even buy trout for 2 euro for the live bait highly recommended place to fish we are going this April to may pegs 10 9 8 and 7 peg there all next to each other simler set up to that carp lake you fished peg 10 best for the carp and 10yrds next to you peg 9 fish against the back wall live bait and I can ensure now you will average between 80 to 120 lb cats very very good

We were supposed to be here last june but due to corona virus was cancelled till this june fingers crosses we get there this year. Only just starting to watch your video so if you answer this in the video i apologise. What was your choice of bait and tactics any tips advice greatly appreciated

well you should have watched it by now and if you watched the entire vid i should have answered those questions for you, we lost two trips to biggot fishery last year "Gutted " 😢 those cats know how to beat you so stay on your rods and get them away from the snags and dont let them bully you, lock in and fight them to open water when you get them in the open water you can ease off and play them... we loved it, make sure your rigs are strong and you will love it too... PS if there is still the carpet on the pontoon raft that was ours we brought for the session, have fun 👍

My uncle and dad fished it 4 years ago amd had an amazing week cats to 130lb carp into the 50s 6 anglers went and all caught plenty. This will be mine and my brothers first time fishing for big fish i absolutely cant wait just hope i dont blank haha. My cousin as had big sturgeon out of there too do you know if they're still in there

@@imanishay No i dont know if they are still in there there are also a few carp too in the far end ... top tip you will notice a green sheet we used to protect the cats from the ground it is an IPK kit go on the army surplus web sites look for ipk kits you can pick them up for under a tenner and they are perfect for cat fishing, Oh you wont blank.....no sir they will eat your 40mm halibut pellets within minutes LOL

Not long Phil although i do have some new gear to trial. I bought one of the best sleeping pads you can get so im going to go ground dwelling for the first night and hammock hang for the second in the same weekend to do a comparison. should be interesting .... I hope LOL
