Vito does not join the army, he was caught while with joe and he took the down for him and in order to not spend time in jail he joins the paratroopers as a translator, so he did not "just join" the army he was given options and he saw one was better than being in prison

I'm from Slovakia and the game is From Czech Republic originaly is made by Daniel Vávra.Tommy Angelo was not makeing money on his own he stole money with Paulie in Bank and Salieri found it out and he shoot Paulie.Then Tommy found Paulie dead on the floor and Sam called him into Gallery and he killed mafians and then Sam and he asked Detective Norman to help him and his family but years later Vito and Joe killed him.

Reyhan Rizaldi Just because Galante is Vinci's Consigliere, it's still not him since Vinci has never been associated with the Chinese.And Leo already knows who done the Triad Shootout while Vinci is finding out who done it. Still Leo is the one who directly told Vito to kill all Falcone's men alongside with Falcone himself not Vinci since Falcone himself is about to kill Vito at the place and Falcone has aknowledge that Vito vouched for a rat (Henry)

In Mafia 3 Vito revealed that Joe did flee Empire Bay after killing several of Leo's henchmen who were trying to question him for his role in the Chinatown massacre and went to Chicago looking for help but was betrayed by the people he met there and died a brutal death at the hands of them.

Vito didn't volunteer for the military. He was given a choice in court to either go to jail or join the military because at the time, WW2 was still happening and America needed soldiers. He obviously chose military service. That court decision is still in use today but it is VERY RARE.
