In this video blog, Australian parenting author, educator and mother of four sons Maggie Dent talks about angry children, particularly in relation to children losing their temper and acting out after school. This is in response to several queries about this on Maggie's Facebook page ( MaggieDentAuthor). Maggie looks at possible triggers behind this behaviour and discusses strategies for helping angry children deal with their emotions.

You are the most kindest Child centred therapist I’ve ever listened to. I am so glad I have found your podcast. I shall be listening and learning from now on from your channel and maybe I can glean some advice to help my grandchildren. Thank you so much you are such a special lady. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

I love your explanation of the common 'after-school meltdown', Ms. Dent. I am passing this along to my parent clients and online community. Thank you.

Thanks Maggie - I have two little boys, one who is in 5 years old and comes home from his day at Prep, gets off the bus and is just downright nasty to his 4y/o brother. Mean and nasty, bossy and dominating. I've been wondering why and how I can help him - once when I sat down with him for a cuddle afterwards, he burst in to tears because a child in his class hadn't shared his pencils with him and said they weren't friends. Once we got it all out - he was fine. Thanks so much for your vids.

Hi Maggie! I am new to your channel. Love all your content. In regards to education, I'm just curious if other parents have talked about Common Core? I am 37 and did not go through this set of learning. And in helping my son do his homework, I could totally see why one would get so frustrated w/this system. It makes something so practical, complicated. So I show my son the short-hand version too.
