So many lyrics from this song just hit so electrically and feel so good in combination with those brain tingling vocals that tickle the senses , triggering a flood of dopamine, and leave on walking away with nothing but smiles🖤 It’s one of those songs that get you in a feel good mood for sure. Those vocals are completely unique and euphoric to the ear. 🖤

Those harmonies were done in the days long before Auto-tune. Flat out freakin' TIGHT harmonies! This voice and this song majorly defined the mid-80's era. so many memories. good GOD! And again, this song was an absolutely MONSTER song.

The 80s was probably the best decade for pop and rock music in terms of variety. There were many great hits for every genre and subgenre of popular music, from electronic to disco pop, late funk and soul and early hip hop, pop rock, emo, goth rock, glam, punk and heavy metal and everything in between. From the late late 70s to the early 90s it's like there was a huge wave of creativity and innovation.

I grew up during the 70's and 80's. There were SO MANY BANDS and so much great music that even though I had preferences, I really never noticed just how much different music there was available at that time. It was all taken for granted. It's amazing and an eye-opener now to see the reactions of young people discovering what I took for granted. No offense, but these days it seems as though you could throw a pair of sneakers in a dryer and that's most every song you hear now.

First known as The Baseball Boys in London's East End, they were bigger in America than they were in their home country. A sort of play on so many American bands being bigger overseas.

Fun little fact here; I had bought this album on cassette back in 1986. "Say It Isn't So", the first track and lead single off the album, was having some success on AOR radio which got me hooked. The fun little fact here is that I had a friend back in the day by the name of Jerry who absolutely loved this album even more than I did; so much so, he asked me to let him have it for $5. I figured why not since we were best buds and worked at the same job. We literally wore that tape out; no worries, though, I got it again on CD a while later.
