Fake memory is fun ONLY if you tell people it’s fake.

Can’t agree with Wes more. It drives me nuts when magicians act like it’s not a trick. My favorite thing to tell people as I’m performing is “everything I’m saying right now is bullshit” and then keep the trick rolling. To me, it also makes the trick better bc if they believe what you’re saying, then the magic is lost. But if you tell them that you’re lying, then their brain is going wild bc it’s the only explanation they have for how you’re doing it, but you’re sitting right there telling them it’s not what you’re doing.

I teach english in taiwan (give me a break grammar police). today I taught this trick to a class of 7-year-olds. but instead of the memorized deck approach, it was if you press your thumb down on the card for 5 seconds, the fingerprint remains visible for a short while. after class, the kids showed it to one of the moms, and she literally screamed in astonishment. totally blown away! you two guys made some little kids very happy today, thanks.

When a magician shows you how the trick was done, that is part of the trick. It was not a coincidence your card was the last one revealed when he laid out the cards, that was the trick the method he showed can't replicate.

I love your approach on memory, loved your book and I love WES, he's soooo creative :) The only thing that bugged me were the wires on the background, the whole video I was wanting to arrange them !

Haha thanks for the compliments. Thankfully the wires weren’t my fault!

That trick will kill with the people you know. For fun you can tell your friends you improve your memory time from 29sec to 1sec and you can prove it. Then spread the cards on the table zip through it so quickly looking at your key card at the end. Proceed with the trick. Of course don't forget your false shuffles. Their heads will explode and you can laugh your ass off. A great party trick don't forget to have fun.

Yooo Wes thanks so much! I basically do the same key card effect but with 'body language' but always felt it was hack. Just not my style. But what you just did is perfect. Thanks for showing this.

I agree Wes I can't stand when someone does a magic trick and tries to act like it's real wizardry lol its called a magic TRICK for a reason haha. And the spectators don't like it either from whst I'm experienced ❤️
