Hi everyone! Here is my review of the Magic YoYo Y03 Hertz. I wonder if they called it that because "Hertz" relates to electrical frequency, and electricity is fast, frequencies can get really fast too (the higher you go). And this yoyo is definitely to be played fast!
Don't forget to comment, like and subscribe as I'll feature more and more yoyos in the future!

Oh I love my N6! I don't use it as often because I only have 1 and it's got some scratches already. It is definitely a manner of preference, did you know there's slight variations of the N12? I'll be making a video of it soon because I have one that I bought in 2013-ish and one from last year. But the Hertz is significantly lighter than the N12. =)

Hey man remember when I was telling you about that v grooved yo tricks bearing and that it was actually the best bearing. It’s called the VIP bearing well the reason I usually only but magic yo-yos from yo tricks is bc when you buy a magic yoyo from then you automatically get a vip bearing for free with every magic yoyo and the bearing that comes installed is always a 10 ball concave. The only time it’s been anything else that’s installed in a magic YoYo is when I bought a node from Amazon lol.

Is it normal that the string vibrates in in this yoyo (or any yoyo)? And it seems like the bearing is slightly loose even when the yoyo is tightened, is this normal(for this yoyo and other yoyos)?
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 2 жыл бұрын
Ok, so I'll try my best to cover as much about this. So string vibration can be caused my a few things, not a straight throw could have the string rub against the silicon pads or star bursts, bearing could possibly be not fully mounted onto its bearing seat, major yoyo body deformation, damage or design issues, and of course the bearing quality and type and even if it's lubed or not. But keep in mind that almost every bearing will exhibit some string vibe. So the string vibrations from the Hertz. I didn''t personally notice any significant string vibe, it has some vibe but it's not enough to affect the way it performed. The various bearings that Magic YoYo usually comes with their yoyos are 8 ball or 10 ball bearings. 8 balls I notice will have a slightly more string vibe over 10, but I notice 8 ball bearings seem to spin longer and faster (possibly from less moving parts leading to less friction). 10 ball bearings tend to have less string vibe, smoother, but may play a little bit different as in feel. The loose feeling you're noticing may be a manufacturing defect, the bearing seat may be too loose. Someone has asked if I can make a video to remedy that which I will try to do in the near future. A very loose bearing to its seat can definitely cause major string vibe especially when you've tightened your yoyo, if this is what you're experiencing, that's definitely a manufacturing issue and you should inform it to who you bought it from. The idea of how a bearing can cause string vibe is the tolerance between the size of the ball to the internal retainers. Some bearing design retainers wrap the ball completely, usually found in 10 ball bearings. Some have retainers that encases most of the balls. When the balls are too small slightly, has dirt or debris (a cleaning can sometimes help), bearing is too dry inside, or just poorly designed or manufactured; the balls are just rattling around within the housing transferring the vibration to the outer ring which where the string is wrapped around. Is string vibe normal? it really depends on how much string vibe you're experiencing. For most of my yoyos, I get a tiny bit of string vibe and maybe just a handful of yoyos that i could barely feel it spinning, but I also have just a handful where it vibrates the string like crazy.

So i got it today by 3:30pm fedex came in early in 2 days. I like it but Im a noob starter level, I use the K2 plus for practicing only but for the hertz I use that for show off. The hertz is very good smooth as butter almost no friction, its dead yoyo throw. It's also very light useful for playing seriously for me but when the node come arrive I gotta see which one is best for me.

@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 2 жыл бұрын
This would honestly depend on your playing style. But I personally prefer the Y01 Node because of the more rim weighted distribution, and the size and shape. It's got a lot of power for it's slightly smaller size. The N6 is a really good yoyo. Light and nimble. A little bit smaller than the Node. The Magistrate is lighter during play. So it'll be good for doing speed combos. Hope this helps. 😃

bro, how many yoyo bearings are there and how long does the yoyo spin
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO Жыл бұрын
There's honestly a lot of yoyo bearings out there if you include the little variations that uses different materials like some see ceramic bearings. I know there's 5 primary different sizes ranging from A to E. The most common you'll see in most yoyos nowadays are size C, but there are different variations like concave, centre trac, etc. As far as the spin duration, it would depend on what yoyo you use, the design and shape. The last time I set my personal best was around 10 years ago where I got my magicyoyo shadow to spin for over 14 minutes.

@@mollies13 The Hertz is honestly made for every level of yoyoer. Although there's other yoyos that can perform better than the Hertz. This yoyo covers all of the bases that I believe professionals will like. It's smooth, light enough for speed, good control, has enough features expand tricks. It's honestly a very well designed yoyo. With the price being under $20 is an added bonus. =)

@@YAPYOYO Is 10 KK beairng smoother then having 8?
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 3 жыл бұрын
@@mollies13 In short, yes...BUT tt mainly would depend on the manufacturer. Honestly you'll notice very little difference. Keep in mind, due to physics, more balls in a bearing means more friction(even when lubed), so technically a 10 ball will spin less, slower, and shorter than a 8 ball. The long explanation would be because the comparison between having an 8 or 10 ball bearing is, the more balls occupying the amount of space between the outer and inner race means less room for variability.

Hello, quick question. Magicyoyo Y03 or V4?? Which one overall is better?
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 2 жыл бұрын
Ooooo, that is definitely a tough choice. I do own a V4 for almost a year now (I'll eventually make a review of it). I personally would pick the V4, but remember that it all depends on your play style. Both are light weight and versatile. The V4 has just a tiny bit more rim weight distribution (which is my preference) while the Y03 has a tiny bit more bounciness on string hits but it's honestly barely noticeable. Y03 has a slightly wider catch zone because of the profile shape and also has a softer body finish. But I would still choose the V4.

should i choice it or y01 node?
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 3 жыл бұрын
That is a tough question. Both are great yoyos and both are around the same price as well. It would mainly depend on your playing style preference. I LOVE both the Node and Hertz, but when I play with the Node, it's slightly heavier (than the Hertz), more rim weighted and has features like a small lipped rim for thumb grinds, but it's harder to do finger spins on the node (but I suck at finger spins). The Hertz is lighter, less rim weighted and feels really bouncy when hitting your tricks (which is a good thing), so the Hertz is awesome for learning how to play FAST and I think may be a better competition yoyo. I guess the easy answer is, if you're already pretty advanced and is ready to compete when it's safe, the Hertz is my pick. If you're refining and improving on tricks and style, the Node would be my pick. Hope this helps! =)

@@YAPYOYO does magicyoyo bearings rust? or it make from stainless steel ?
@YAPYOYO
@YAPYOYO 3 жыл бұрын
@@trungtrinh9609 As far as I know, the bearing that came with the Hertz is just a steel bearing. Not stainless steel, so it will rust. For my understanding, most bearings that come with yoyos are steel bearings. It may have stainless steel parts like the balls, but it's mostly steel. I just checked my bearings from Duncan and YoYoFactory and they are steel as well. I know there are full ceramic bearings but I know those are expensive. The best way to test if your bearing is "steel" or "stainless steel" is use a magnet. Stainless steel is not magnetic, while steel is magnetic. I hope this answers your question. Please feel free to ask. =)

Y01 is better then hertz both are good just Y01, you can control your yoyo slight better stable and sleep alittle longer.
