a full ride video Presentation of Maglev ride from Longyang Road Station to Pudong International Airport with distance and speedometer Plus a Maglev Port tour at the beginning of the video....enjoy!
you can also get to see the inter crossing of two trains that virtually doubles the speed of the maglev (and a replay on slow motion)

Nice one on filming this wowiejunior. This is the future of transport, if only we can get the cost of guiderail building down a bit. The speed is amazing!

There is currently a major study taking place for the Atlanta metro area to run three lines North from the airport through downtown up to Silver Springs. Building this though cost about 150x per mile more than two additional lanes of interstate highway though.

I also think Chinese authorities just don't listen to objections. You could never build a high speed track this close to buildings in the western world. The noise pollution must be horrible.

You're so lucky to have the possibility to take a real ride with the Transrapid. In Germany there's only the test-track, yet. Our politicians are some kind of crazy. If I sat in parlament the Transrapid train would already connect the most capitals of Europe ;o).

Great Video!! I rode this train last September while on business in Shanghai. It is a wonder of the world. Unfortunately, I rode it in the morning and the train only goes up to 340kph. But that was still fast. Anyway, thanks for the video, now I can relive it anytime.

before shanghai, i dreamed of going to Germany but it was too far from the Philippines and it would cost me a lot, at 2006 i heard that transrapid is operating in shanghai for more than a year so went there right away, then i visited Germany the same year but i never went to emsland....so this 2008 i went back to shanghai JUST TO FILM THIS! LOL

this is truely amazing, i've heard different maglevs use 4-6% the energy of an airbus to travel the same distances, and that the tubular ones in testing use less and are safer and faster

after a crash in september 2006 the transrapid doesn't run anymore on germany's test track in emsland for visitors. but the failure which causes the crash was a failure by humans, not a technical one.

Te felicito por el video :) PD: Use the Traductor, I" am not speak English. Bye.

We need this in England, but expensive :(
@zibiax
@zibiax 7 жыл бұрын
actually it isn't that expensive, but for some reason politics neglect the existence of them. Maybe because of lobbying? Normal highspeed railsystems costs alot to maintain since there is friction on the wheels and powerlines. But there is almost no maintenance on the maglev since there's only airresistence...
@hamanakohamaneko7028
@hamanakohamaneko7028 3 жыл бұрын
@@zibiax It's because England wants to make use of the rail infrastructure they already have. Building a wheeled bullet train or maglev train line are significantly more costly

The US is slowly becoming a 3rd world country. It just happens very slowly and therefore it's difficult to see in everyday life because if things change slowly most people can't see it just like you can't see your hair grow if you look into the mirror everyday but your hair grows anyway.
