Hey Magnus, please investigate a bit what VPNs are. What you said at the start is..... uninformed at best. NordVPN isnt encrypting the stuff you do. There are some good reasons to use a VPN but most that are used in ads from NordVPN are not justified. Maybe have a look at this nice short video from Tom Scott about VPNs :) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jbx0hKigypy-h40.html Also its the world WIDE web, not the World WILD Web. p.S: are you going to california on your US trip? I think a reason that Marte is so good is that she really takes Magnus' advice into account. It hit me when I saw a quick close-up of her placing her foot. You can tell beginners so often that they should use their toes but some just don't, for whatever reason (fear/disregard/strength).

I think her foot placement actually comes back to her grip exercises, as odd as it sounds. She is obviously more confident in her grip strength, so she can take more risks with her feet.

Beginners don’t use their toes because they forget to use their toes or dk how to use them. It’s that simple.

Putting weight on toes is normally quite painful for those that are not yet conditioned - simple!

@@bizmonkey007 As a beginner, I'd say you're right. Most random climbing experience I had before was just using arms and pushing directly down with a full step. Though it's also the climbing shoes. I'm slowly starting to realize how ridiculously overpowered they are, and it will probably be a while before I unlock their full potential

I have size 12 feet and am lanky and weigh 13 stone so thats a lot of weight on my skinny fee to take on my toes. Its not always the best option ande the leverage easily pulls my feet off. The percentage of my foot that is on a hold at any given moment is much less than the average climber and I have the leverege and additional weight

I love that Magnus did a personalised explanation of what a VPN is, rather than just reading the paragraph every other youtuber uses. Also, world wild web made me chuckle. It is one of very few mistakes I have ever seen magnus make, and English isn't his first language.

Marte is looking super strong in this video. Very impressive. The combination of hangboard training and having Coach Magnus has brought her up very quickly. The slab of the week was incredible. One of the most interesting boulders I've seen. Great video!

It's a great way for beginners to start hang boarding! 5 seconds, pretty far away from failure for as often as you 'fancy'. Most likely great gains in finger strength for a beginner without real risk of overdoing it. It's evident that Marte is much more confident in holding on, and climbing really well.

@@challengemasters775 the one who is right is the one who reaches the top. If the route allows for a very easy beta break, it's really not thought out well enough. No hate for this boulder, though, it's a very creative route. But breaking beta is never cheating.

6:58 Just an advice, maybe Marte should look at the boulder and the path she had taken, how she had clear it and all of that once she has done it. Because if she doesn't see it at first and doesn't know what to do other than trying maybe acknowledging what she has done to solve the problems could help with that, it also doesn't take long to do so it's not an inconvenience for videos.
