At least the DNR guy thanked you for helping to clean up the rivers, etc. Owen seemed to be about excited as you get when you get a cool find. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Be careful out there.

This is the kind of memories you want to give your son. My sons are in their 30's and still talk about all the mini golf games we had. Made me smile.

The thing with the plug cord is a small air compressor. The big gears are probably from a truck transmission.

Glad to see the DNR guy was decent and shared the hobby. Even better that he thanked you for cleaning up the river. I watched one of Outdoors Weekly's video where they found a guy and tried to flag down a cop passing by and the cops just drove past and yelled "Damn KZfaqrs!"
