The only place I ever saw grappling hooks used were at the overflow of a dam and for alligators on Swamp People. The hooks more than likely were just thrown in when they couldn't be used anymore. I am trying to comprehend how much stuff you have pulled out and made the waterways safer.

Bro, why don't you save your electrical wire from your salvage. Don't you realize even unclean copper wire sells for 25 times what the scrap metal sells for. It would behoove you to put it aside and sell it separately. Just trying to help increase your profits. Really you don't have to clean the wire just save it up and sell it

Chances are there either is or was a shadetree mechanic living in that area and wasn't too smart about metal salvage or disposing of his scrap. You could teach him to thing or two to profit from his trash

For nails on the scrap runs don't forget you have a magnet to pick them up, also you could keep a bucket for nails and small metal pieces so you don't have to worry about them mixed in the crud when you do a scrap run.

I always love seeing the other side of the magnet fishing when u do the scrap runs, a suggestion if I can... perhaps when bringing up the magnet full of nails to empty it in a bucket instead so when u do go to the scrap yard u can just dump the bucket if they are going to be picky about u using a shovel to get them out the bed of your truck. Anyways, great video as always and so nice to see Owen tag along with his non stop chatter lol.

Just a suggestion, when you pull up certain makes of fairly modern tools, you should google the manufacturer and see if they offer unconditional replacement policies (like “leatherman”). Sometimes you could exchange your River find for a new replacement!

Metal measuring tape. In 1829, Chesterman patented a spring tape measure that utilized flat metal with marked measurements. The metal was cased inside of a donut-shaped leather case that made the tool easy to transport and use. Cool there ya go Tyler...😊😊

What I think is going on there is that some people are too broke to go to the dump, but the city and county ordered people in the area to get rid of all of the junk and clutter on their property and so they dumped it all in the river. I'm just guessing. Idk. Maybe there has been dumping there for years. TY guys for clearing it out.
