Magnet Fishing This Spot For The Second Time And It Was STILL LOADED WITH FINDS!!!
We went magnet fishing to this spot for a second time and it was still loaded with finds! We had lots of really old finds which were great, they were very interesting. Dad found some real solid silver river treasure hidden in a leather bag! Best magnet fishing finds. One of our best days magnet fishing for sure. We hope you enjoy our magnet fishing video!
Lots of people ask us which magnet fishing magnet we use. If you would like to know which magnets we use for magnet fishing and where to buy them from here is a link to them. If you type in the code 10off at the checkout you will receive 10% off your first order!

We found a live mills grenade in this stretch of river the previous week. The grenade was deemed too unstable to move and had to be blown up where we found it. At the beginning of this video you see where the bomb squad blew it up. Here’s the link to the video of us finding the grenade if you haven’t already seen it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8d1p8mErJ6lnoU.html

Mills Bombs were in service from WW1 up to the 1980s so could have ended up in canals during training and could have been taken home and years later been found and thrown into canals to dispose of them. The pieces prove that they didn't fragment along the lines as people thought they were designed for. They were designed that way for grip.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. We weren’t really sure how the grenades ended up in the rivers. Interesting about the segmentation being for grip. Thanks for watching 👍👍

I met a guy locally who was involved in the development of the British hand grenade. Mr Wells we called him. His window sill he had a row of the early prototypes along it. He passed away a number of years ago. He was a fascinating guy, unfortunately all his stories passed with him. Those early grenades may have been worth a fortune to the right person. He did say none were active, but how would you know! Lol

When I am in the mood to watch magnet fishing its you chaps I tune in. I have even modeled my personal magnet in a horizontal profile like you used in earlier (years ago) videos. Dad G has a good knowledge of most of your finds. One small criticism is I have seen on several occasions a lack of respect for objects spiritual, sentimental or memorial. Its the archeologist in me talking. Anyways, cheers from sunny California.

A grenade going off in your helmet sure would ruin your day. Love those olde screw drivers and bent spanners. I have some in my tool box and still use them even though they are very olde. That axle with the spring fragments on it could be off a baby carriage. Most of the other bits and pieces are a mystery. George not fishing weights SINKERS LOL.

Some of the finds are fragile or antique and even Midevil tools, old war memorabilia etc please check into your local museum or curator before doing ANY cleaning ,scraping or use any kind of chemicals (Unless your keeping for yourself)..White tooth paste ,baking soda and vinegar are great for jewerly ...Gently buff with water and a soft cloth,...Some of these items are well sought after and collected and the museum may be interested in the pieces..Some will buy items from you and they also will display them for you (on a loan display and pay you) ..You do find some awesome gifts..You have alit of war ,midevil items..Thank you for all the great videos..

Thanks for the cleaning tips, do you mean mix the toothpaste, baking soda and vinegar together?
@lorimiller3375
@lorimiller3375 4 жыл бұрын
@@Magneticg Sometimes I just use plain white tooth paste and a little water, sometime the vinegar and baking soda or you can mix all. Awesome for jewelry..(I make a lil paste it can be a little on the wet side..and use a soft toothbrush ,after letting jewerly soak a little,be careful if there are any gems or crystals as over time the setting and or prongs could weaken and they could fall.(I collect antique jars (vinegar is awesome for glass soaked in hot water and vinegar..i am a semiprecious and precious metals collector ,jewelry is my favorite..after you clean always buff with a soft cloth..I used to love cloth baby diapers,eye glasses clothes..Do not use paper towels or regular towels...Watch especially jewelry clean up and shine... .Mudd is a great preservative at times as it sat together buried ,and the grit and stones then the air can ruin and deteriorate very quickly. ) out.. If you do believe it may be a fragile piece or piece of history that is very old Maybe a Roman piece of pottery,war memorabilia, midevil keep in original state and then I would contact a couriator of possibly the museum a collector etc.. Do not use anything abrasive ,cleaner or salt as it can actually scratch and destroy , etc(especially with very old coins,especially a coin such as a hammered fragile coin. .If you were thinking of selling the item it will drop the value ..It is best to keep to it's original state..Now if it is something your keeping for yourself say maybe the Padlocks,Warm water in salt and baking soda is awesome ..Also come a cola will eat away rust of anything.(Drop a rusty nail in a glass of the pop(soda) and watch...) Crazy.. I Hope this help ya out..I'm just a average person who lives to collect preserve , repurpose not a professional..Over the years these are things I have used from advise of professionals..As an artist if anyone ever finds artwork,never run your fingers,a cloth or brush over the art ,use air..If the item you can also try air pressure,but obviously not going to work if it was submerged in water..Good luck..and let me know you feed back..Love and Light my friends..⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐KEEP ON SHINING BRIGHT! Lots of interesting finds this week. It does seem that rivers produce 'older' finds than what you get in canals even when the canals are around 250 years old! I suppose though that this may be due to the canals being regularly dredged when they were in use.
@Magneticg
@Magneticg 4 жыл бұрын
Good to hear from you, yes we do tend to get the older finds from out of the rivers, it probably is something to do with the regular dredging of the canals. Thanks for watching 👍👍

It would be so interesting to know any history you have on the immediate area...THE little horse shoes are very rare,maybe the tiny miniature horses and or baby horses or mules..Interesting..(You know when you hang up Horseshoes hang it with the opening facing up, and above a doorway to your home..(if you hang them the opposite ,it is bad luck,as upside down means your luck runs out!!)I love the antique keys..I collect let and make crafts with them..They make awesome Windchimes..I so love watching your videos ,the two of you have awesome finds ,the firearms ,coins,the antiques,mid evil finds,today's tools and finds ,religious finds,prayer tokens awesome..I learn so much ,as your videos are very educational ..The way the light in your son's eyes brightens when he comes about something he likes,and educates us on it....
