The Magni M-14 Identifier is an Italian gyroplane, designed and produced by Magni Gyro SRL Besnate. The aircraft is delivered fully ready to fly.
Design and development
The M-14 has a single main rotor, two seat-in tandem open cockpit with windshield, tricycle landing gear with wheel trousers and a four-cylinder, air- and liquid-cooled, four-stroke, dual-ignition 100 (75 kW) Rotax 912S engine in pusher configuration. With a turbine engine of 115 hp. (86 kW) Rotax 914 powerplant is optional.
The fuselage of the aircraft is made of TIG welded 4130 steel tubing, and the cockpit fairing is made of fiberglass. Its 8.23 m (27.0 ft) diameter composite rotor has a 22 cm (8.7 in) chord and is manufactured in-house by Magni Gyro. The propeller is a three-bladed carbon fiber, ground adjustable. An electric trimmer is standard equipment, as is the Flydat digital engine monitor. The second seat is located just behind the pilot's seat, without a separate cockpit, dual controls or windshield, and is intended for occasional use to carry a passenger. The pilot's seat includes an integrated 50 liters (11 imp gal; 13 US gal) fuel tank, providing three hours of autonomy. The aircraft has an empty weight of 244 kg (538 lb) and a gross weight of 550 kg (1,213 lb), giving a payload of 306 kg (675 lb).
